Post match: Liverpool v Spurs (ELC 6/2/25 8pm)

A lot of the young ones looked really young out there unlike say Bradley who looked like a PL right back.

The older ones did bugger all.

They were lucky to get zero!

Probably not a popular opinion, but I do have some sympathy for Ange. Their injury crisis is really severe, and it’s bound to have an effect. We still would have beaten them, but he’s been dealt a difficult, if not impossible, hand.

Anyway, how good are we?

Sadly I think Ange will be sacked in the near future.

Yes!

I think the only one who can answer that is Gary Neville.

How thick is Neville predicting Spurs we’re going to win the final.

Yeah I don’t think anyone would have done a particularly great job in the circumstances.

More silverware!

I know he’s not to everyone’s taste but I love Ally McCoist. Genuine enthusiasm instead of listening to Neville or McManaman droning on

Not yet. Let’s not get complacent.

The Spurs team had 8 internationals not having a shot on goal isn’t excusable.

Hey they hit the post, we know that means about 5 goals by proxy… let’s ignore the two for Liverpool.

Very good day indeed. So many of them played so well, and it’s fair to say we are looking like we are improving.

Hopefully we get some rest into a few legs at the weekend, while also giving some valuable minutes to those who need them.

Then it’s off to Goodison, to hopefully extend the lead.

I like Postecoglu and he seems like a nice bloke to me. Spurs have been unlucky with all their injuries. Even so, they are too open and naive, and when the inevitable sack does come, it will be justified. He might get the Villa game to see what they can do in the FA Cup. We’ll see.

I don’t know what happened here, Gary Neville was adamant Spurs would get a draw and go through. Weird.

Anyway, great performance. Foot on throat for about 88 minutes of the 90. Szobo was great. Bradley was great. Grav could have played midfield on his own and still barely broken a sweat. Centre backs were flawless and Nunez did some good bits.

Oh a Richarlison acted a knob and went off crying. What more could you want from an evening of football.

He was asking for more silverware for his korma at the pub. Leave him alone. He hasn’t learned how to eat with his fingers.

Nevilles mind is just melted with Liverpool this year. It just won’t compute that the wheels haven’t fallen off like he thought and prayed it would with Klopp leaving.
