You didn’t think the first half was the times, did you?
Don’t think you can get away with this stuff while I’m in charge.

I had to, you were slacking.
One of our easiest games of the season, spurs were pathetic and the scoreline flattered them, they simply got no fight whatsoever. Credit to our lads for not giving them anything.
Acknowledging that pundit insight is often shite, I think the US coverage displayed something that is relevant about the way this team is often viewed.
Our studio analysts were Nigel Reo Coker and some American who bounced around in the EFL for a few years. The American was very disappointed in Liverpool at half time. He thought they should be further ahead, and will need to make changes if they were going to get the result they needed.
Reo Coker responded with shock that anyone could think that. He spoke of a team who were incredibly comfortable, thought it incredibly unlikely the additional goals would not come if they just continued playing as they were, but that they had 3 or 4 gears additional gears they were choosing not to go into because of the stage of the season we’re in, but could if the second goal didn’t come. His only question was whether we would go there or whether we’d get the additional goals without having to pick up the pace.
Sure, maybe the American guy was just a moron. But it does seem there are a lot of people, including many who get paid to talk about football, who still dont seem to get who and what this side is.
Our commentator was saying something similar about him, about how well he has taken the opportunity that it took him so long to get. Amazingly this was response to him blasting the ball into the stands a good 20 yards high/wide of the goal.
Trying to call Spurs inept and create an Ange out story was shameful. Redknapp and Carragher (auto correct just said cadaver!) can be better than that.
Spurs were a 2 man team. Son and Kane. One gone. One legs gone.
A lot of he fan base is the same. Goals to them are the only metric for playing well.
Mike Grella talks a lot of crap.
Both he and Reo said emphatically that the Newcastle MF was better than ours, and I’m thinking, based on what exactly?
Who?
A quick look at his wiki says he’s a 38 year old who is stil dining out on his college career at Duke and barely did anything in the professional game.
Would make sense. As I have absolutely no clue who these people are unless reo means Rio and then I’d guess it’s Ferdinand or a city in Brazil.
There are a few on here that panic when we are in control but aren’t scoring and keep banging on about increasing the tempo.
As Jones said, part of the way we play is to pass teams to death or as I would put it, pass them to a standstill, i.e. tire them out so gaps open and then we can then increase the tempo and capitalise with goals.
