its bedtime sunshine,

off you go…

leave the adults you it!

Ok, fair enough.

I thought bringing on Chiesa on 90 minutes to win the game was an inspired move.

Sack the bald prick.

If Donald had started his war last year instead of this they wouldn’t have been able to go to Dubai and we would be PL champions again

I’ve been really, really fucking clear that here we draw the line at personal insults. You can say what you want about him without resorting to this kind of stuff.

Anymore of this and bans start getting handed out.

Nah, we have given up a few of those goals this season.

Became a basketball game with those subs, when we had controlled most of the game prior.

Just wish our players could run like that

We’re all disappointed, to say the least, so hopefully we don’t start falling out.

There were lots of people saying Slot should be moved on ages ago. In a strange way I’m glad that we didn’t do it, as I think it is important to give the manager every benefit of the doubt, not least given the circumstances around the club, plus his record of winning the league last season.

So we persevered, in the hope that things would improve, but they have not. The football is flat and uninspiring. They look mentally fragile and out of fight. And Slot himself is starting to come across like a man who has run out of ideas and realizes his time is up.

Whatever time is left between now and Slot’s likely exit, I hope we can be dignified and stick together.

It seems clear to me that a change is on the way. The main question is who (Alonso seems the one most want, but there could be some other great options available this summer, such as Nagelsmann. It would be Alonso for me, all day long btw).

The second question is when. Will it be summer, or are things getting so bad that we will end it before then, even if it means getting an interim in for a short stint?

I’m gutted it has come to this, but I still have hope in my heart, and Phil Thompson’s quote from a couple of days ago is right. We are winning the league next year. We will rise from these ashes.

Really lacking a player with a killer touch or someone busting a lung to get on the end of crosses or making postive runs in the box to try to get on the end of passes.

I do feel a fit and firing Isak would have got a couple of goals today as the rest are so timid in getting in the mixer to try and score.

This has been a n issue the whole season, we have too many players who love playing outside the area ratger than being effective in it.

Pther than that, many players looked knackered, again and should have been replaced and have been mentioned.

As for as Arne goes I have been on the out bus since the turn of the year as I don’t see a plan or someone to inspire the squad.

I can’t underestimate how terrible Spurs have been and the vibes there were the worst I’ve seen in recent memory. Putting aside their injury crisis, they were also about to sack their second manager in about a month. Squarely looking at regulation.

That we could only manage one goal and four SOG against them at home - just absolutely unacceptable. I’m not one to boo my own team, but I would have booed if I was there. They should be ashamed, and that starts with Slot.

How was the performance of Flo Wirtz?

A lot of pundits have pointed out that the fact that Gala won’t have away fans at Anfield will be a big benefit for the home side. And normally, I’d agree.

But you don’t need to have away supporters when the home crowd is already expressing strongly negative feelings towards the home team. It’ll be a cauldron, but not just for the away team.

He was the link between the midfield and attack but failed to make use of some good situations where he shouLd possibly have shot.

However, he doesn’t/didn’t have a CF that makes the right kind of run for him to pick out

A few of things need to happen for an early departure I think

  1. Favoured replacement is available and willing to join.
  2. The club is comfortable with no CL football next year
  3. They believe that now gives the manager time to assess the squad. Especially with the World Cup.
  4. There might not be a big transfer pot available. New person needs to be happy with that.
  5. Ultimately the club believe it’s the right thing to do.

He was terrible ghosted through another 60 minutes again. Offers nothing at all.

And if the favored replacement is not available until the summer, I’m wondering if we will go for an interim, or just stick with Slot to see this campaign out.

If we have a CL sized hole in the revenue, hopefully the new man will have enough in the kitty to add say, Diomande on the wing, to Jacquet in defence.

And then even if the coffers are pretty bare after that, there might be a deal to be had to get a better balance in midfield, such as the mooted Camavinga/Mac Allister deal?

Hopefully we qualify for the CL, not just for the money, but for the players we have. Even though Slot hasn’t been getting a tune out of them, they are CL calibre players.

I think it was Sweeting who wisely said when 2-3 are out of sorts, that’s a form issue; but when all of them are out of sorts, it’s bigger than form, and you have to start looking at the coaching and the set up.

I am certain that Wirtz is a smashing player, and when we come through this season’s malaise he will be linking up with a firing striker and will look the part.
