Post match: Liverpool v Spurs (EPL 16/12/20 8pm)

Those are far better news than seeing Thiago and VVD included in the team-sheet @Prolix, @104TOSH  :hugs:

hey i’m confused, i thought that whenever we played at home we always started the 2nd half attacking the kop end, why was it the opposite in this match??? it was so weird to watch but really great seeing bobby running full tilt towards the kop.

It’s a coin toss, isn’t it? Winner gets to choose either which end to attack first half or whether they get to kick off first.

Spuds won the toss and chose to go to the opposite side another attention to detail from snide Josephine

Worked out well for him, didn’t it? haha

People knows about this tradition, every other captain chooses the ball if he has that opportunity. It’s just another Mourinho provocation.

The coin toss is about the only thing we ever lose at Anfield in the league.

Lovely to read the posts about the cancer free diagnosis. Great thread this one!

Klopp: “Gini before the match was in the dressing room was shouting to everyone, ‘don’t waste the first-half again’, we didn’t.”

Up the Mighty GINI Reds…

Not sure if the Intel True View Replay was posted already but here’s that Bobby goal in all it’s glory:

I have never seen Bobby run so fast, I hope he scores more!

“It’s not American Football” observe some astute Spurs fans

They just go back to the Virgil Van Dijk foul a couple of seasons ago, which was similar - minimal contact, maximum falling and crying.

I was more concerned for his hamstrings!

All you can tell from that is that Dier has never been shopping in a supermarket or when he does he ends up writhing on the ground.

I was talking about the general mood about him leaving, not just on here. Maybe blase or indifferent would have been better words than happy.

Clearly it’s largely in his hands, and I know there are issues like wage precedents and age to consider.

I am sure the clever guys at the club can see that Gini on £100k a week and playing 50 times a season costs us c£100k a match, whereas a player on £50k a week and playing less than 25 times a season costs us more per match.

Reliability in terms of injury proneness is a key issue IMO, especially given Klopp’s style of play.

I worry about having a senior outfield squad of which 25% are very injury prone (Matip, Gomez, Oxlade, Shaqiri, Keita).

For me, looking at the squad today, with the development of Neco, Rhys and Curtis, and with the goal of a 20 man outfield squad, the obvious changes are to sign a quality centre back in January, and release a few injury prone and less useful players when convenient.

Personally I wouldn’t be unhappy to see Origi, Oxlade or Shaqiri leave, nor Matip if we’re left with four centre backs (including Williams but with Fabinho as further cover not one of the four).

Anyway glad to read your son was clear, I’ve seen first hand the nastier side of that one, so good news.

All the best for the festive season.

I want to see him celebrate four times
