Brilliant, but he really should have sung I’m So Glad Jurgan is a Red
I know this isn’t the greatest of observations but just how shit are Spurs these days.
2018/19 we played then in the CL final and they finished 4th. Decent squad, good manager, homegrown star leading the way and just opened one of the best stadiums in Europe.
Fast forward six years and our paths could not be more different. We’re picking up our second league title with another FA Cup and two League Cups in the cabinet. We’ve kept the best of that squad and replaced those who have left really well. The succession planning for Klopp was forced on us but we made the perfect decision. The mood is great, the squad is great, the manager is having a lovely time.
Meanwhile they’ve lost Kane, wasted most of the money they sold him for. They’re on their third full time manager since Poch left and he clearly hates being there as much as the fans hate him. The squad is bang average and anyone half decent will be picked off this summer. Son is the only one left from that CL final squad and he’s pretty much done these days.
It’s amazing how far our paths have diverged. Yes, they probably weren’t as far along in their development as we were at that time but that should have been a launchpad for them and they’ve just fucked it at every step since and probably start next season with another new manager.
It’s hard to know who is more pathetic out of them and United really but it’s time they got booted from “The Big 6” WhatsApp group until they sort themselves out.
They do seem to have gone backwards, but I would take yesterday’s result with a pinch of salt as they were clearly set up with an eye on the Europa League fixture on Thursday.
It has been a problem that has plagued them all season, and their defence especially is abject. I was stunned at how shit they were playing out.
Yeah, no Van Der Ven, Romero or Porro and Bissouma, Sarr & Kulusevski didn’t play, so not their best team, but would have been the same result.
They have bigger fish to fry on Thursday.
Spurs are currently 16th. Two places above the relegation zone. They have a positive goal difference - unique in the whole bottom half of the table. Their goals scored are better than any other team out of the top 4 and only one goal behind Arsenal in second.
It’s really quite insane, and actually quite entertaining from a neutral perspective. I’m curious how they get on against Bodø/Glimt in the week.
Yeah they have conceded 15 goals in 4 games against us and one of them we didn’t score.
I didn’t know about this request from the LDSA.
I was wondering why we didn’t celebrate like we’d just finished 17th !
Exceptional.
… and they can fuck off with that ‘2nd league title in 35 years’ nonsense too.
Champions…and breathe
To be fair if they hadn’t been beaten by us 5-0 and 6-3 earlier in the season then perhaps.
Was probably Ange’s family
No way can that photo be taken from Crosby. Anfield is at least 7 miles away and there is no line of sight to the stadium..
Thank you for de-mystifying this.
Any idea where this location could be?
Note to self: don’t always believe what you see on social media🤦🏻♀️
Yeah but they’ve been playing those lads all season and still lost 18 league games before yesterday, including the 3-6 humbling we dished out at their place earlier in the season.
If you look at what they’ve done since firing Poch where they are now is not hugely surprising. They hired 3 of the sourest men in football in succession who spent their entire time there saying how shit everything and the club was, collectively put a stink into the club that has been difficult to shift. Ange’s positivity lifted spirits for half a season, but his tactical limitations forced that to make way.
I think the big question for me is how did they go from CL final to firing their best manager in 50 years over the course of 6 months. They had a couple of bad signings that summer but there was nothing obvious in terms of important exits. Maybe it was just the reality for Poch of how impossible it was to improve and get over the hump if their limited funds were wasted on a walking bad attitude like Ndombele.
Levy. He’s an absolute bald bellend and I don’t understand why Joe Lewis doesn’t fire him (I realise he’s a minority shareholder).
Because Lewis has never been particularly interested in it. Enic’s involvement has always been driven by Levy. Lewis also has had more pressing matters to worry about recently
