Very lucky escape that one.

First 35 minutes was absolutely shocking. Slow, lethargic and sloppy on the ball, Woke up after their 2nd goal

We won, some excellent performances, some poor and there was Rio, feck me I’d hate to mark him.

We’d be wicked in the NBA

Woeful play up to the first goal, second half was top notch til the last 10 minutes and then it got sloppy again.

Wirtz was brilliant when he came on and the change freed Rio. Assume it was tactics considering how it seemed to push Tsimi further forward and Grav fit into a three when building from the back.

I am concerned about VVD. Needs to switch on more. As I said take the positives from around 35-85 and leave the rest to Iraola.

We give the ball away so easily sometimes and make our own problems. Virgil had a terrible first half but settled down in the second. Not the best performance again but a win puts us in a good position in the competition.

Robbie Fowler needs to ask himself why Rafa looks healthier than he does.

First match this season I’ve used my 3 votes.
Encouraging turn around with some good performances.
Their movement caused us lots of problems in the first half. Second half Iraola’s changes made the difference and we saw some really good nice football.

A year living in Townsville will do that to a man

I’m reliably informed their kids went to the same school on the Wirral, so it’s not as if they’re living radically different lives either

Lots to like, lots to dislike, but the overriding sensation is that we need to become a lot more consistent. The start and the finish were unacceptable, in-between it was at times beautiful to watch, especially after the second half subs.

And there is Ngumoha, who tonight announced himself in the most emphatic way possible.
