Post Match: Liverpool v West Brom (epl 27/12/20 4.40pm)

It hurts but you’re right; in a sense. But then we dont know what other deals and financial implications were affecting the club from making such a purchase. And at that time we all believed VVD to be the reincarnation of the Colossus; turns out he is fallable.

Yeah, keeping it real. No Jose type delusion.

Though the yellow for Klopp was most likely born from Jose’s comments last week. Kevin Friend giving West Brom freekicks for non existent fouls, and Klopp finally had to have his piece.

Got what we deserved. Firmino and Salah were shite. Jones far too casual, Gini and Hendo industrious but lacking creativity and TAA still seems to be finding his way back.

Our best attacking threat came down the left but not enough to create any real clear cut chances we looked like converting.

Thought Klopp left the subs too long. Should have made the change before their goal when we were crying out for something different or some new impetus.

Clear we can’t rely on Matip so business needs doing at centre back in the window. Him and Keita are for the scrapheap I think or backup options at best.

Furious about that performance and the missed opportunity to take advantage of yesterdays results. Those extra four points we’d have had if we’d actually turned up against these and Fulham would have meant a nice seven point cushion. That’s the difference between this season and the last two.

Despite this game being truly awful; this game again shows up our transfer window mistakes. We got it right with Jota but not signing a proper center half to replace Lovren was negligent and incompetent of the highest order. I don’t know who made that conscious decision but it was fucking stupid. Rhys WIlliams ain’t ready by any measure and Fabinho is doing an admirable job but he isn’t a center half. Fab is very good on the turf but is sorely lacking in the air. He was completely manhandled by Ajayi it was lamost Lovren-esque. We need to sign two(2) center backs in January, one to correct the Lovren mistake and another to replace one of Gomez/Matip in the summer. Gomez/ Matip cannot be relied on, they are glass-ish. They dont need to even be tackled to get injured. Matip kicks the ball and gets injured, Gomez, while standing on the turf. You cannot rely on any of these players. Sheesh, the league is hard enough, we dont need to contribute to our own demise by not signing proper players.

Oh man! Prof fatty is now sharing his dissertation on how to nullify liverpool. totally in his element now, the fat bastard

Amidst the minor depression of dropping points at home, hanging on to the bit of positivity Klopp expressed in the pre-game presser about people saying “you won the League but in the year with no fans”…he retorted “I think of it differently, imagine how rubbish this year would have been if all this stuff happened and we didn’t get the title.”

Just maddening wasn’t it. And if we’re going to insist on playing in crosses, maybe one of our midfielders could make a run or two in there.

I was surprised at how slow he is, and to think you get slower as you age, he might be walking backwards in a few years.

VVD and Gomez missing games and probably the rest of the season, and Matip being Matip. Add to that the error prone Adrian having to come in, along with what was our 3rd choice keeper, and of course not forgetting Neco having to step in for TAA (and Milner for Andy).

Oh, and Thiago. And then the lesser spotted Shaq and Keita add to the mix. Our Greek left back jpoing them as well.

And yet we’re still top even despite 4 points criminally lost against Brighton and Everton.

Use this result to spur us on. Next few games will be tough.

It’s a wonder that not of the top “universities” have ever come calling for him. It’s like he’s “Dr. Sebastian Gorka” in terms of people in high esteem see him and kind of go “uh-huh, sure, right” and then roll their eyes when he’s done.
