In a game like this that we all knew what was coming, we cant afford to have Gini and Henderson in midfield, one of them with the Ox would have served us better.
I think Klopp was just showing potential buyers, that Origi is still alive.

Thinking we could do it on 70% will not work in the PL and I know I’m not suppoost to say this because he is scouse but Jones is holding up play, needs to much time on the ball does not pass quickly enough.

Everything was frustrating today. Henderson constantly trying to force passes, we couldn’t get the final ball right, we didn’t use the flanks as much as we normally do. Part of it was down to Fat Sam’s 10 men behind the ball strategy.
However, after getting the early goal, the game should have been killed off.
I give West Brom credit for fighting harder than us. We just looked lack lustre the whole time, as if we thought we could walk around the pitch and win. At about min 35, I even said that this had 1-1 written all over it. However, had we had Van Dyke or even Gomez fit, I think we win 1-0 today. It’s in these kind of games that you miss those kinds of players
So frustrated now and I hope that we have a CB lined up in January. Also, we really need decent competition at RB.
TAA needs to be dropped. This isn’t a knee jerk reaction to today as he was not even at fault for the goal. But it seems like his level has dropped off hugely. Maybe, he thinks he has made it at the club now and is getting too big for his boots. But he has been crap for a few games now. Yeah, he can step up and provide an assist from time to time but defensively, he is a liability. Teams are targeting our right side because they know that he won’t stop the cross coming in and often gets beaten by his man or is out of position. Also, today, he made quite a few loose passes so he wasn’t even good going forwards.
Obviously, we have other problems. The sooner Jota gets back, the better, as the front 3 need competition. It’s annoying as we had a golden opportunity to create a sizeable gap between us and everyone else.

Yeah, I agree that Nat Philips should’ve come on to counter Big Sam’s setup. R Williams did well, and Klopp most likely wanted a passer of the ball out there. But with Fab there already, we could’ve used Nat to defend and attack at corners.
Also, I don’t think there’s much difference in speed between the two. We’ve already mentioned in previous weeks in this forum that R Williams is slower than he looks.

That’s why I watched the 2nd half with the sound off, it was pissing me off.
i am not sure who is we in ( we didnt finish the game ) we had no chances, no shots no creativity other the the predictable pattern screaming for 5 subs and hardly using two, keeping this midfield trio against a defensive team didnt help at all . i think there is a lot of I today rather than we

When you start a season with 3 center backs, two of them are injury prone. thats criminal. And to argue that your best defensive midfielder can play there as a back up is also bad because you will lose him in midfield. and so on and on. Talking about this will not change a thing, it is just painful.
