I cant blame fat sam for anything, he has a plan and it works fine for him, I blame our manager who seems he does not have a plan. Or at least has no idea how he can change the game with different approach. he has the tools with brilliant players, but it is always the same, no change of position or quicker passes. Just slow slow slow build up and a wayward final pass by Henderson.

what i find also strange that N Philips played a great game and then never to be seen again . the plan was to nick a goal from a dead ball so surely nat would be better option , we were 1-0 up and i don’t see why would we be in a position to be countered . today was a lesson about arrogance of the team and the manager . this not the first time its becoming a pattern aston villa , brighton , fulham and today west brom . we can win all the games aginst top 6 but we will not win the league if we keep dropping points against the bottom 4

In fact it’s something he does however does it less and less. Today he did it a bit more than in his last few matches probably/possibly due to the very deep defensive line WBA used?
Let’s face it OX did the same when he came on.

Completely agree.

First of all, Jones is a smashing player and an excellent prospect. He looks at home in the team, which is incredible for a youngster, and I’m thrilled he is home grown and has come through the ranks. He has a good chance of having a long Liverpool career.

To do that he needs to improve on some of the bread and butter stuff, and I’m sure he will.

He has the stardust, edge of your seat stuff, two good feet, complete midfielder at his best. Etc. But Curtis lad, just do some of the simple things with aplomb too!

In real time, it looked to me as in the build up a couple of players standing in offside position. Needed better angle to see if they had come back onside as the cross was delivered.

But as you say, they never showed it. Can only take it on trust.

Agree re Jones.
It was like the game was so easy as they just dropped he thought he’d take 8 touches instead of 2.
Couple of times we broke and was doing drag backs instead of moving it quick.
Hes young so klopp will sort that.

Nice reward for minaminos first goal last week…origi comes on instead of him. Bizarre sub that.

I think Klopp might have hoped Origi would get on the end of a cross maybe…who knows.
I think most would agree he left it too late to make changes as they got more of a foothold in the second half.

Really fucking angry after that so I’m probably going to say things I regret later.
Curtis Jones needs his fucking arse kicking and I hope Jürgen drops him at Newcastle. He’s got away with that shit before but tonight he’s cost us 2 points.
Rhys Williams looked like he was running through treacle for that chance Allison saved with his feet. If that’s his top speed he’s never going to make it here. I hope Phillips starts at Newcastle but Klopp doesn’t seem to fancy him.
The Ox is showing no signs of improvement since his injury. I think he’s done tbh.
Losing Matip for another 6 weeks just sums up that steaming pile of shite. And wtf was that corner about at the end?
This season fucking sucks.

"To be fair West Brom did their job inside 90 minutes. West Brom deserved the point tonight because we didn’t finish the game. It is difficult to create. In the end everyone knows and feels we should have and could have done better tonight. It is our fault and nobody elses"-Klopp

Feel sick and want to cry…that sums it up.

And yet in the in-match thread at half time, a few of us were already dissecting that Curtis was doing this, and if we could see it, the coaching staff definitely would’ve as well.

Klopp was trying to get Ox on at that time of the goal, but he really should’ve made that sub at least 5 or 10 minutes before.

Something I noticed as well, Jones is developing in to a handy player, but he does tend to hold on to the ball for too long, more so when we are breaking.

That was poor. I so want to not criticise the players this season but I feel that performance is deserved of some discussion. I always fear we attack the wrong spaces in these games. It gets too easy and too predictable.

Salah cannot play with his back to goal. He coughs up possession time and time again. Jones, held onto the ball far too long, passes were far too inaccurate.

Still, they’ll be kicking themselves for that so there’s no need for me to fire the boot in any further.

at least ox drives the play forward… doesnt dilly dally as much

Back to no room for error again.

Jurgen could drop Jones off at Stoke on the way to Newcastle that’ll teach him.

yep… so needed a cushion

You cannot always micro-analyse a game for individual mistakes; there is a wider dynamic at work. When Matip went off that changed; notice how WBA then came out and played us higher up the pitch. Thats because we had also lost the distribution of Matip. Playing percentages, a shift in the balance of the game.

In fact in strategic terms this all harks back to our CB injury problems; if any fault can be found it will be if we dont sign a CB next week.
