Maybe that’s what confused us ![]()
I had a few nice pints of Guinness.
I was really impressed with our full backs today. Particularly Kerkez. Also, Frimpong looked lethal when he took over from Joe. I’m just hoping his injury record starts looking more like it did for Leverkusen.
The result certainly didn’t flatter us. It wasn’t a complete performance, but we were well superior to WH.
And if anything, the result flattered WH.
Not sure what is wrong with you people…
Just heard YNWA on TV again and realised that the Dortmund vs Bayern match is starting.
Listened to the match on R5L, relief that we go to 4 matches winning, pretending the previous performances didn’t happen.
Going off the clips I wanna give the MOTM to MacAllister for that volley whistling past about 6 West Ham players heads … had to go for Ekitike for starting off the positive vibe early and clearly being the best team player today
We really missed Wirtz today the cohesion was not there without him.
Just saw Endo is confirmed out for the season…
2026 can GAGF
Is he out of the World Cup then? I think it seemed obvious he would miss the rest of our season.
I think only Wirtz and Isak are likely to return now this season.
Not yet confirmed. Japan’s head coach is hopeful he will still be available
It neither flattered us nor flattered them.
We remain a work-in-progress side.
They remain bound for relegation.
They could have scored at least three more. The Grav giveaway, the Ali pass straight to Summerville in the box, and the ridiculous Ali save second half.
We should have scored three, maybe four more. Gakpo point blank miss, Nyoni skying over, Mo opting to drift more central instead of early shots at least twice. And that wasted freekick second half.
The three points are very welcome in the fight for the CL spots. Boosting the goal difference +3 was also nice to see. There were some good performances out there, and the subs added impetus when they came on. After being awful at set pieces at both ends, we now look so much better.
So there was plenty that went well for us today, but a fair assessment would also highlight some issues. Our passing was not very good and on too many occasions West Ham ran right through our midfield without too much resistance. They had chances to score more than they did.
Overall it showed where the team is at right now. Not good enough to challenge for the title, but good enough to be in the fight for the CL spots. The dream is that somehow we win the CL with some attacking reinforcements coming in to help us, if we are still going in the later stages.
We did our job today. Onwards and upwards. With Villa stumbling, anything as high as third seems possible.
I missed the match. I was in Matalan shopping.
I saw the score, we did quite well. ![]()
Three good points but a very nervy performance. Gakpo and Mo still not doing enough for me. A slightly better showing by Mo but not what we’ve become used to. Rio did more in his fifteen minutes than Gakpo did all game. We seem to go to pieces as soon as we concede a goal.
Did you get yourself anything nice?
3-0 up at HT and yet still it was never a comfortable watch which just about sums us up atm. Still a great result in the end and just look at that table now , first time I’ve actually felt confident that we might get CL next year. If the upturn in results begins to match an upturn in performance then who knows what might be possible still. Great to see Mac looking like a player again.
Too much clothes for the summer x15 . I just returned 3 items
SSN were just doing a nice feature on Ekitike, praising his ability, hope they take him to the World Cup.
Starting internationally would seem like an age away though given the attacking options available to France. Never know though, with an injury or two he could be a stand out player this summer
He’s played in all their games since the summer. Definitely going to the WC
They’ll be even more items returned…when u look in the wardrobe…and see u already have a few items…
