POST MATCH: Liverpool v West Ham (EPL 31/10/20 5.30pm)

Exactly. Dangerous play.

Maybe watching this side struggle in first gear in an empty stadium is grinding him down like the rest of us

I thought Gini played well, very hard to find space with 11 players behind the ball and no movement from the centre forward. Jota runs gave Shaq something to find. Bobby came deep and gave it away.

Studs up, he’s sliding for the ball where is he supposed to go and the goalie doesn’t have any control over it and Mane makes the only touch.

Sorry I’m a bit meh about it, I don’t think it’s obviously a foul.

That’s because it wasn’t a foul

This x10

If we set aside whether VAR displays injustices against us and for other teams and leave that parked.

Sometimes I find myself trying to figure out whether VAR should be looking into an incident or not.

The Pickford example vs today’s one is absolutely perfect.

Set aside whether Either was a foul or not, but how in gods name do they decipher to look at one, and not the other…

Then there’s that line… that fucking line…that fucking line which has NO reference to when the ball was kicked, just a random fucking hand drawn line…

That’s Souness for you, if you don’t get a complete kicking you haven’t deserved anything. Except if your called Harry of course then everyone automatically feels sorry for you.

Has any VAR decision this season went our way?

We have all been conditioned somewhat for absolutely ridiculous, preposterous VAR decisions against us so this one isn’t so bad because it isn’t ridiculous and/or preposterous.

I personally can possible see the foul being called, which is more than one can say for our disallowed goal against Everton, or the penalty against Fab last week.

It is actually kind of funny now. Are they even looking at where the line is?!?

Mané’s leg was pushed toward there goalkeeper by the defender, doesn’t that change anything?

That’s it, I think the only thing I’ll say is that you could give it either way, that last week and Everton is general was a joke.

I thought so too. (Being subdued that is , not sure about the var bit.)

Mane starts from behind the defender, and basically tries to get a touch through his legs, doesn’t do so cleanly, and takes the defender down. That was the call. What happens after they are both falling is not really relevant, all after the call.

It would be damned useful if the refs would just explain their calls.

To many, Jurgens legacy will ultimately be judged upon what he achieves overall and by the titles/cups he wins… How can he be judged in true capacity when VAR are overturning all his hard work and diligence in getting us playing as good as we know we can… As fans of LFC we know he has already achieved more than we could possibly have envisaged when he first landed… Harmonising the structure within the club… Bringing a broad smile and pride back into realising we are supporters of LFC… Just feel the excitement is being sucked out of the games by the decision making numpties, who unfortunately, have let the power surge go to their heads…

Apparently its foul on defender not goalie it was ruled out for.

They have said it was a foul on the defender, not the keeper. Can you see that? I cant mate.

I’ll say it again, it wasn’t a foul

Yes I was wondering what the call was. I was also undecided who fouled who, the defender on Mané or vice-versa? (my commentators didn’t clarify and for me my glasses by then were a little clouded by a red tint (as they always are)).
Edit: I think the defender was going down even before Mané ‘lunged’ they made contact though.
