I kid you not, I wore boots very similar to those (hand me downs) when I first played footy.
This is the shirt I wore.

We keep the pitch well watered too, to play our slick game. That’s part of it.
Still, it was notable that there was more than the usual amount of falling over from players losing their footing and slipping.
PS
Those boots above remind me of Plug from the Bash Street kids!
I love the old guard midfielders, who moved on this window, for what they gave to LFC, but what a night and day difference, to the energy and creativity levels, these new midfielders bring. And what a knock on effect it has, on both the front and back lines, providing for the forwards, and protecting the defenders. Keep it up you Reds.
To be honest it might be a blessing. I can’t have seen Klopp dropping them but evidently they were waning and we needed fresh blood.
Agreed, Jurgen is loyal, but with Mac & Szobo, their quality would have won him over, the only worry would he have persisted with Fab as our 6 with Mac & Szobo as the 8’s
Brilliant for Joe & Joel, long may that form continue and some have a go at our 3rd & 4th CB’s, compare them to Maguire & Evans hahahahahaha, and they are World Class
Just watched it, great performance throughout. Hope everyone keeps patience with Nunez. I think he’ll be great player when it all clicks for him. Great team performance.
Two assists does it for me mate.
I dont know why I did it, but I just read a review of the game on TIA. One of the two writers who gave the MotM to Dom claimed he had never heard of him before we signed him.
I presume these people on TIA are contributing in a professional capacity? And one of them has never heard of one of the top prospects in Europe, someone who’d even impressed against us several years ago, and felt like it was a fine thing to freely admit?
I don’t know if anyone has already posted about this, but on BBC news there’s an article about an 11yr old Liverpool fan from Co Cavan named Daire, who attended the Villa game on Sunday. I don’t know how to take story from the BBC website and post it on here. If you read it and watch the video, it will tug at your heart strings.
WR, Found this…
That’s the article, thank you.
yes I saw it very good and remind you how the YNWA anthem rouses raw emotions
Finally got around to watching it.
Yeah we smashed them and didn’t move out of 3rd gear.
I was showing a house today and Gerry and the pacemakers came on I just wanted to ramp it up and start singing but for once decorum go the best of me
How many gears have we got?
We used to have five, but more recently we have six.
Had to move the reverse to the left of first though.
I’d go with the standard 5 so on a scale of 5 we played at 3 but didn’t need to play any higher.
Was stuck in reverse for most of last season
Which didn’t matter as the engine was siezed.
