United and Brighton play each other final day and Villa away at Man City.

Will feel a lot more confident if we don’t lose to United.

Several good individual performances (Jones, Mac Allister, Robertson, Woodman to name some), but another unconvincing display as a team. This would be a formidable team if there were a plan and a direction on how to play.

In any case, we scored 3 sublime goals, we 3 got valuable points and Palace and Glasner can get fucked now. Hopefully, Brentford makes this one more important on Monday.

Added bonus of it being funny to finish above them despite a dogshit season.

We make life so hard for ourselves. Giving the ball away so easily. Still a good three points for us and Champions League is well within reach although tough games ahead. Thought Woodburn and Jones were very good. Sad to see Mo go off with what looks like a hamstring issue. If it is it will be the last time we see a true legend at Anfield.

Not many voting in the poll? Woodman my MotM. Not bad for a third choice keeper is he? I thought Jones and Robbo did well from the full back positions as well.

I did think we looked very lethargic from kick off. 6 days rest? No excuse for that.

We are currently 4th, joint on points and goal difference with United in 3rd. I’m not even sure how that’s possible.

That’s a depressing end to Salah’s time here if it is.

This match is the match of mad moments…

The back 5 was very good today…Woodman was pretty good, VVD was pretty close to his old levels, Konate is a bit clunky but recovered well, Jones was good at RB…

As for the midfield pivot, Szobo and Macca had a good game today.

Macca somehow got 2 assists. The first came when his drilled shot was caught expertly by Isak and Isak scored. The second was more deliberate when he uses his body to trap the ball from the throw in, allowing Wirtz to drill one past the opposing GK…

Szobo assumed the B2B role and was all action.

Wirtz was quietly effective and capped his appearance with a good shot.

Our forwards had a mixed game. Isak wasn’t really into the game until he got a pass/shot from Macca and scored. Salah rolled back the years by a bit and showed why he still frightens PL LBs.

As for Gakpo, he was slightly disappointing where he wasn’t really fully involved at all…

If only there was someone in charge of that

We didnt play well in the first half. Two counterattacks (one after a ridiculous save by Woodman) got us the goals. Felt like we were the away team, the way we were playing. Konate had one of those first halves to immediately delete from his memory, lest he got PTSD.
Freddie looked more like a Liverpool keeper than Mama. His distribution and comfort in the ball way better.
Second half again so-so, squandered some quite promising opportunities. One that stood out to me was Flo trying to pass inside when 5 yards away from the goal line. Take some responsibility and take the fucking shot lad!
Then the frankly ridiculous goal incident. Every time a player went down the ref blew the whistle…except when he should have immediately blown it the most. Freddie apparently hurt himself making that first half wonder save and exacerbated it in that one. He played through the pain afterwards. Also, Dom was unquestionably fouled on their way to scoring that “goal”. Pathetic refereeing.
Munoz is a right cunt. But Anfield woke up after that and really buoyed the team. Kudos to Cody for smacking Munoz on the head. Still there were shaky moments in front of our goal. Wasn’t settled until Flo finally scored.
Isak is finally starting to look like himself again.

But there are way too many questions and dysfunctional things about this team in its current guise.
