I thought Gakpo winning virtually every long ball especially in the second half was a big plus for us. Helped contain them and we got some chances out of those possession wins

Not quite sure about that. We need some significant incomings. Both full back positions are suspect. Defensive midfield is unconvincing. Definite lack of pace on the wings. In Mané and Salah’s heyday have torn these to shreds.

I suspect we won’t hear much about our XG today.

I lost my voice screaming at the ref then booing Munoz

Our goals originated from their goal attempts. So, not surprised.

I actually think it’s a good thing; it just shows how stupid it always was to use it as an excuse when things didn’t go well.

I thought that Dom had a very confused game… it felt like he did quite not know his role.

In a league where standards and quality are slipping, aren’t we now glad we shipped half a billion! We were average and, as a bunch of people have stated, we won because we had (bought) the better players…

I’ve felt he’s been like that all season. Hell of an athlete and a talent but there are times when he’s literally everywhere bar where he should be.

Arguably a bit like Stevie, before Rafa added more discipline to his game.

Looks like quite a few on here like Wood man.

But the knock downs went to the right person just a few times…

A real fan wouldn’t be able to type with all the flipping off.

It has been a while that we see a properly counter attack goal!

There are some issues, but it’s obvious even to the casual observer that this team is far closer to its floor, rather than its ceiling.

A lot of players have been made to look a lot worse than they really are.

I was thinking the MOTM should go to Woodman for his first match at Anfield, unsung hero style …

Keep up the good work, take it to old trafford!

But after seeing Robbo’s goal, it was like a strikers finish, he’s incredible, we need another number 9 next season, play for us for free haha

Woodman and CuJo are absolute beasts today. (I was praising Jones to my dad, and as soon as I did that, he gave away a glorious chance to Palace. Can’t give him any praise! )

Most of our players look like that.
