That smile from JK can be translated as āYouāve saved us Ā£60 million, son!ā
Not often i allow a lfc game to be turned over but tonight i allowed the wife to watch her shite around the 65m mark.
A good solid first half. The subs at half time and later seemed to upset our rhythm. IMO Curtis out of the subs had the best cameo. I think (again my opinion) that each player in a Red shirt had at least some good moments tonight. Trent seems to up his game when wearing the armband. Ibou treats every opponent like theyāre top notch strikers and plays his heart out. Quansa seems unfazed by anything thrown at him. Harvey Elliott was industrious and never stopped chasing. I thought Tsimi had his best game in a while and Endo looked comfortable in the middle. Grav is settling in well.
Aside from that, the regulars all put a shift in, but we seemed to get a little bit complacent in the second half.
Tonight was a EL game against a team that nobody (Apart from Mac Allister obviously) had heard of prior to them being drawn against us. Iām sure that the whole squad will be fully focussed on BHA this weekend and the three points up for grabs.
I forgot to say that the last three matches have seen three different starting Captains, Curtis, Virg and Trent. Weāve got a team of leaders. COYR YNWA
The most routine of routine wins. Gravenberch and Konate the stand-outs.
They were pretty dreadful and probably dragged our levels down.
Not pretty, but a win is a win!
Agreed good on the ball mostly and aggressive in the tackle although a little late on a couple of occasions and uses his right foot
and they say romance is deadā¦
Gravenberch seems to be special with the ball. Konate and especially Quansah the other two big positives.
Nunez on the other hand continues to miss sitters at an astounding rate. Just have to be patient with him and hope that it wonāt be long until it comes together for him. As for the rest, they pretty much sleepwalked for most of the match but with such a weak opponent, they could afford to.
I hope the club finds and bans the dickhead who was lasing their goalkeeper. We donāt need this sort of shit at Anfield.
One of the most boring LFC game in recent memory.
Give me red cards and start a goal down every day of the week.
Case of job done I guess. I couldnāt get into it at all. Iām still not over my fume from the Spurs game.
Funny that, a whole football match, a whole night, and no oneās mentioned the referees. Odd what happens when a game is actually refereed fairly competently for once.
Probably because everyone was asleep.
Thinking back about it, Iām starting to doubt this game was ever played.
