Not pretty, but did enough and 6 points from our first 2 games.
73% possession, 9-2 shots on target and yet it all felt shaky and lackluster.
Gravenberch showed more pace than I thought he had and was neat and lively in the first half before kind of fading out of the game.
Quanseh looks composed beyond his years and I’m started to feel really good about his future.
Sleptwalk through the game. Took them easy. Right thing to do, they were awful, no need to exert ourselves at this stage of the competition, sunday is more important.
Sort of had to shake last weekends game out of our system - we seemed to have done that
Brighton here we come for our 3 points
A lot of energy but made it tough for ourselves second half probably more to do with the rotation of players than anything.
Was impressed by Konate most of all was my motm.
Thought Endo was decent before half time as well.
Not sure about you lot, but I’d take that level of performance all season if it guaranteed the same result for us.
But it wouldn’t against half decent opposition.
Yeah but we aren’t going make 9 changes and then treat rotation as it was a friendly against better opposition.
The kind of game that on paper you’d hope Nunez would use for stat padding, but it was a bumpy ride.
Ryan, Trent, Konate and Quansah all had good games.
I’m struggling to recall the last time the Greek Scouser impressed me.
Best part of the game is watching the brothers giving their post match.
What a great family & best of luck to Kevin and USG for the rest of their season.
Everyone had some problems today, even Kloppo
He’s so smooth
I thought Tsimikas was solid today generally. His set piece delivery has improved.
Not a great game by any stretch of imagination, especially second half was poor.
Happy with three points, happy that Klopp continued to rotate, focus should be on the PL at this stage.
Thought Konate and Quansah had good games, no one else really impressed me. The fact that Endo was taken off at half time surprised me, does it mean he’ll start against BHA with Mac and Dome?
Anyway, we’re off to a good start in EL. Can’t see us missing out on the top spot in this group.
Macca, dom, endo?
