Post match: Luton v Liverpool (EPL 5/11/23 4.30pm)

Poor finishing cost us today. It happens.

Harvey needs to be starting games.

Bravo, Lucho.

I think Klopp’s patience with Nunez might well have snapped today, judging by his reaction to that miss.

Meh. We’ve had these games in us for most of JK’s reign.

Andre in Jan. We’ll come home like a fucking steam train.

I doubt this thread will be any less hilarious, though.

You can not expect to win these type of matches when you play walking or standing football especially when you mis the chances as NĂșñez keeps missing.

We got what we deserved to get, a point.

Diaz Man of the match for sentimental reasons.

Harvey works best against this type of side I think. Good angled passes, gets stuck in to the battle side of things.

Was this the same Luton fans who were singing ‘always the victims’ earlier? Sorry, but they’re a bunch of cunts.

Problem isn’t one any individual performance it was the fact that whenever they got close they ran into them and ball bounced safely in the second half.

First half you can put down to unlucky and wasteful. I do hope Diaz is up for playing more as the game was crying out for his tricks early on.

Okay.

Spot on with both points. I also think Klopp tried to accommodate the narrow pitch which did more harm than good, but when we are skying it in front of an open goal, there’s no helping us.

I mean a couple of those misses where harder to miss than score.

We’ve been doing the impossible for years!!

Haha

Salah was invisible, Sloboszlai and Mac Allister embarrassingly bad and Nunez’s biggest contribution was making sure we missed out on two points. Not only he manages to waste yet another sitter, he deflects Van Dijk’s goal-bound header and Luton score from the counter attack. The rest not much better, with the exception of Van Dijk, Gravenberch, Elliott and Diaz. Klopp fell asleep on the bench before making changes.

Arsenal lost, Tottenham have a tricky game and we drop points to one of the worse teams to have appeared in the PL. Typical intolerable shit straight from last season.

Well yes, but these things happen.
Just remember that on our title winning campaign we drew vs Burnley at Home, lost to Watford away 3-0, and drew the Bitters away
not newly promoted sides, granted, but still games one would have though they could cost us the season.
Let’s pick up from here and win games, and see where we are by Christmas.
Somehow this goal at the end that meant leaving with a point rather than 0 and a defeat made me feel we just don’t accept losing easily. May also make a difference for the next games we play.

Really poor performance. Subs needed to come on earlier and we’ve said it on numerous occasions but Mac should not be playing the 6 role. I know this will go down like a lead balloon but I would have preferred to have spent the Endo money on an overpriced Doucoure if he was going to start games.

Elliot is noticeably worse when he starts. This super sub role suits him.

That’s a bit harsh, mate. He hardly did it on purpose.

He didn’t mean to miss from 1 yard out either but he did. His erratic finishing cost us today.

who lost that tackle on the halfway for the Luton goal, was weak as fuck

yep
it was def harder to miss than score there

i think he arrived quickly and the ball was bit behind him , but yes he should have scored twice today

Szoboszlai, Salah, TAA, Gomez all horrible or delayed the game by playing sideways or backwards. Jota who played every pass behind the man and the way Gakpo came on has he played one decent match this season
