What I can never understand is why when playing Man City under Klopp we never mark KDB. Mark him out the game and they will never score. Yet against us he’s free to do what he wishes!
and that super-high pressing of Ederson in his own box with the ball at feet…I don’t understand it.
Didn’t he nearly knock it into his own net.
Genuine question…are you being serious?
Only if you shop like City or United.
Still think Renato Sanches ticks a lot of boxes for what Klopp would want in a CM and you’d still have change left from a Pogba haircut to pay for all the phones Ronaldo breaks when having one of his hissy fits. He’d not be my choice but I think he could well be the one the data points towards.
Milner and Ox out, Sanches and Carvalho in. Gives the midfield a bit of a refresh and with Origi gone too, Carvalho might get some game time wide left also.
You have obviously never looked at a ginger in sunlight.
I work and live during the night and wear sunglasses.
Presume you shovel coal for a living? Photo of a £5 note to whoever cracks the joke.
They are typical mancs. Their obsession and hatred of anything related to this city is off the scale. Not going to go into too much detail because I’ve been here before, however, I’ve worked with quite a large number of them over the last 10 years and can safely say that sooner or later their bigotry will show it’s ugly face. They are quite simply the most obnoxious, openly racist, opinionated group of people I’ve had the misfortune to encounter. Self-deprecating humour is a foreign concept to them along with a massive superiority complex. They don’t seem to like anybody, including each other for the most part.
Bluemoon is an unmoderated cesspit where brownie points are awarded for shoe-horning as many variations of the word ‘dipper’ into your posts. I imagine many on there are socially inadequate and see hurling abuse on the internet as a way of being accepted.
Evil vs Good resulted in shared points on this particular occasion. We fervently trust that Good will ultimately prevail.
Otherwise, what is the freaking point of Karma?
Remember we also missed a couple of chances one by Jota and one by Salah
I feel we are still 50-50 to win the league. Our chances of breaking low blocks is slightly better compared to City’s with our more varied offensive weapons and strikers.
Yes, we have tougher matches such as Spurs, United and Everton but they are all at home.
We don’t need City to lose, just draw. If we win all our matches, I believe the title is ours.
Fivethirtyeight gives us now exactly a one in 3 chance (33%). However, that’s only about 2-3% less than what we had prior to the match on Sunday.
If we had won that match I feel they would’ve put us well above 50%. Their methodology is sound so I tend to think their percentages are accurate (you can read the methodology if you go to their site and click into how they predict matches I believe 10,000 times).
I think 1 in 3 is also very doable, we’ve beaten much worse odds before!
That’s because there is no way to ‘undo’ stopping play for incorrectly calling offside. If the lino calls offside when in actuality it wasn’t, then they are unfairly punishing the attacking team and are not able to pay them back for interrupting a potential goal. Linesmen (or women) are likely asked to only call it if they are 98.5% sure it was offside and VAR will do the rest.
The only way this will improve is if VAR for offsides can become more automated using AI so that the attacking and defending lines are drawn automatically and therefore offside can be relayed to the lineman in near real-time. If we are capable of driverless cars we sure as fuck can have a pair of lines drawn on a stationary screen.
I think I saw it as 63 or 64% or close to that if we had won, which is fair given our remaining run-in.
I think 33% is generous, Cheaty has gotten an enormous kick out of Sunday, the way they bullied us in the first half, the result, the knowledge that they have done it before, the 1 point advantage I mean.
I would be really surprised if they will not win all their matches until the end of the season.
You have to look at where City have dropped points this season (other than v LFC) - Palace twice, Soton twice and a then out of form Spurs twice - so it is possible but I expect that with 7 games to go and their next 3 games are dream opponents either side of CL and FA Cup games - that a team like City buckle down and win them all.
The only way they dont win them all is that the CL and FA games take a lot out of them and they have a lull.
But they are more likely to win all their league games than CL games imo.
I should have been more clear, sorry about that, but I was talking about the PL, not the rest.
Come on, put us out of our misery.
Not convinced. The high octane, end to end, heavy metal approach is our thing. City prefer control and order. I get that it didn’t work though and maybe needs adapted for the weekend
