Used to have to be checked by an independent doctor to make sure. I assume FA’s are a bit scared now of enforcing it.
I’m not sure why they are playing last possible day of the period mind, they usually play Thurs/Fri so not sure why they can’t play Mon/Tues at the latest.
Technically the Euro qualifiers do so, I do think Alison is probably due to travel and playing. Though I think we may have got a bit lucky on that if the worse he misses is 2 European games and 3 league games. Shame it’s not the league cup next week as he would only play 2 of them anyhow.
I do have a issue with Liverpool featuring 3 times at 12.30pm on a Saturday after international break. Though the results have been rather better than 5.30 on a Saturday.
