Post match: Man City v Liverpool (EPL 9/11/25 4.30pm)

Pretty much second best the whole match, a welcome break ahead

To be perfectly honest, I knew we would get fuck all from this game after that penalty decision. Whatever you think of that, it is going to affect our players, simply because they are not going to go for a 50:50 ball knowing that it will be penalised.

Not a great performance regardless. Now we have another bullshit international break. The authorities really know how to ruin their product.

I’m pissed off because I set these things up, keep them up to date through the match, and there is a clear message at the top telling people not to vote until full time.

With Dildo, I half suspect it’s a petulant swing because he still hasn’t got over having his Trent thread merged with the erm Trent thread. But benefit of the doubt.

What now then Virgil? Another meeting?

The fixture list breaks very kindly for us after the international break.

Yeah I went to have a look around the 60th minute mark, those are games you would have issues if we don’t perform. I’m not massively going criticise a side that to be honest played Madrid off the park 4 days ago. The first half wasn’t good and I didn’t bother with the second but we are low on confidence, home we would probably have fared better with the crowd but away we were in a hiding to nothing and as said with the pen and that disallowed goal if you feel your not getting them it’s going start turning out like it did.

When Oliver is so vested in earning big bucks in the land of camels, now and in the future, any other referee that wants in on the ‘get-rich-quick’ action it presents, yet wants a reference from him, is not going to alienate him for our sake, even if it means the decisions becoming ‘dodgy’…
Oliver and the Cheaters need keeping apart for the good of the game - pity the pundits, by keeping quiet on this subject, are also guilty by association

Just a reminder that this was deemed not a penalty by the Premier League referees and VAR

What about the fixtures before other than City did you expect us to loose the others.

Another diabolical performance today especially in the first 45 and equally terrible from Oliver and the ref.. Arne out of his dept once againand to top it all utd above us going into international break.

No, Walshy it isn’t. And before anyone leaps on me for not being angry enough at these fucking bastards who keep losing games, the form this season is awful.

My point is that you can’t add the end of last season into the narrative. We’d won the league and we clearly took our foot off the gas.

I think it’s much more than about City’s press.
The gap in the distances covered and the level of intensity between the Madrid game and this one is telling

Are all the games at Anfield then?

No harm in losing to City. It happens. It’s the performance, which leaves us with questions hanging over our heads once again. I was hoping the Villa and Real Madrid games would see us go into this one with a spring in our step, a bit of aggressiveness, but it was back to what we’ve seen recently. Tuesday to Sunday is plenty of time for recovery, with two home games, and an away game not too far away, so travel and fatigue can’t really be factors.

The Forest and PSV home games after the international break will be telling in terms of intensity and structure in our side. I’d be expecting two wins and two good performances.

Not the first dildo to be a pain in the ass.

Not having to pick man of match after that is no great hardship. I might even agree with the choice. Maybe democracy is overrated after all.

My pick for MOTM goes to @dildoswaggins for sabotaging the poll, well in lad.
