5.00 pm, my office, bring bear.
Paid over 200m for attackers/strikers, but no one in the middle for the square ball. Lots to work out in terms of everything. Not looking forward to the rest of the season. Getting a bit frustrating and annoyed at the usual suspects on the pitch.
Tuesday’s game took a lot out and Slot got it wrong by playing the same eleven again. The difference in energy and intensity was clear from the beginning. Add to that the incredibly unlucky first goal, the deflected second and that thundercunt at the VAR taking away our one chance to change the course of the game, and there was only going to be one winner.
It’s hard to find anyone who stood out. Mamardashvili saved a penalty and did nothing wrong, Van Dijk was robbed of an equaliser and he along with Wirtz were generally solid but no one really had a good game. Gravenberch was inexistent apart from one good pass and it’s quite astonishing that he was allowed to play the full 90. Ekitike not much better, but got no service. Szoboszlai and Salah tried but both looked spent. Gakpo missed a sitter against United and decided to even the score by missing a sitter against City too. And then there’s Konate. I’ve just about have had it with his blunders. I don’t know if there’s a dearth of CBs, but if it were up to me, I’d cut ties. It’s an affront that we’re negotiating for months, trying to convince him to continue, when the only thing he’s good for these days is a fuck up.
As for Slot, he clearly should have rotated his team and he should have used his subs earlier. He still won’t trust his squad.
What is your point?
Had no intention of watching on after the disallowed goal, hard enough when you’re being outplayed all over the park and seeing the players play like cowards, but then to rule that goal out is a crime.
Well that was a (sorry) shitty game, in shitty weather, at a shitty ground…with a shitty set of seven dwarfs(I know theres only 6), we played a shitty game and we looked shitty…are we up shit creek without a paddle or can we turn it round…as u can tell this game has really cheesed me off…the players must be really pissed off…who kicks who up the arse? Will Arne have doubting thoughts about going? …All these questions are like ‘jolly robins’ in my head…please can we get back to winning ways…
You won’t find many pre match comments that would have changed the team that comfortably beat Madrid.
A goal difference of +1 after 11 games is simply not good enough. We’re as close to West ham in relegation spots as we are to Arsenal. Embarrassing.
Its the first defeat in 6 to City after doing the double over them last season. They aren’t the side of 4 years ago teams have beaten them comfortably this season.
Watch them win the league now…
PS: it’s not an easy place for us to win. Having done the double over them last season doesn’t change that. Klopp has won 2 out of 10 there.
I don’t care if they do. The Arsenal won’t.
Id prefer city to win title over arsenal.
With all the hype about Guardiola’s 1K match as a coach, and the various commentaries (different channels, same shit) gravelling over the milestone, I know, deep in my heart, we are not going to be allowed to win this match in any shape or form. Lo and behold, Oliver in the VAR and his decisions basically nailed that narrative.
Saying all that, City came out and played, won pretty much most of the second ball. Where were the energies from our boys? What was happening to our ball passing? Mistake galore. I dislike myself being so negative, and shame on me that actually switched off the feed after the 3rd went in.
COYR, YNWA!
If games are getting easier the ones before did you think we would struggle in those.
I hope they do
Is it possible to have none of the above win it? I absolutely loathe City and anything to do with them post 2010 ish. That includes Arsenals manager.
Anyway, Slot needs to earn his beans now. The side is well off balance. Not a single department seems to be functioning as it should.
This is what our season has effectively become now isn’t it, hoping City get 1 over on Arsenal.
What a time to be alive.
You seem to revel in it tbo.
Aye, having a whale of time over here.
What do pre-match comments have to do with it? Posters here don’t know the status of his players, he does, he’s been watching them all week.
Asking the same players to go again for a 3rd time in a week was too much. We never matched them physically.
