Think I’d rather watch more bickering between these 2 than watch anymore of our hopeless, lethargic football.
What do you think ? Is noo_noo right ?
Hi! To find out what I can do, say @discobot display help.
Grab any seat you want.

What a load of nonsense
.
You do Traore a disservice, comparing him with Konate.
Genuine question. Is Konate really any good? I seem to go from thinking he’s great to Sakho vibes. If push came to shove I’d say he was ok, but not brilliant. Felt he should have cleared the cross that led to Harland’s goal.
He is often quite critical, sometimes very critical, but he doesn’t tend to shout at anyone and he also comments a lot when we are actually playing both well and very well and is hardly quiet as a mouse then, so you must have got him mixed up with someone else (because there are one or two who might fit ,but not RER).
Being argumentative and posting the “wrong opinions” according to your POV, is not the same as shouting at anyone. He is usually quite civil, unless someone attacks him for his opinions; at which point he is not the only one on the forum who might lash out verbally.
None of us are Jesus Christ. Some of us (not me!) are better at being civil and grounded emotionally all the time than others, but it’s not as if any of us are perfect. Humans will be dicks once in a while if frustrated.
That is something to look forward to.
The amount of bickering on the match threads is doing my head in.
I think we shoud all have a group hug to reconnect with each other despite our differing opinons.

I’d like to talk about referees and VAR. Yes, I know.
Before I start I’d like to point out that we were fucking shite today like we have been for the majority of 2025. We’d have almost certainly lost even with a neutral referee and VAR. 2nd best all over the pitch and we may as well have had Warwick fucking Davis at CF for all the service Ekiteke got (which begs the question, wtf is the manager watching every fucking week when it’s clear as day this is a massive, massive shortcoming?).
Anyway, today we had Kavanagh for the 3rd time in 11 games. He’s basically a manc refereeing a game involving LFC in Manchester. I’ll assume Taylor, also from Manchester, was unavailable because he normally gets the gig.
Kavanagh is 1 of 6 ‘referees’ who have taken charge of our 11 PL games so far this season. Taylor has done 2, meaning nearly half have been reffed by blokes from Manchester.
If that is not bad enough Oliver has also done 2. It is also clear as fucking day this bloke has an agenda against us, something changed with him a few years back and his corruption is plain to see whether he is referee or VAR.
The other refs we’ve had, drawn from a very small pool that seems to apply to LFC in particular, are Hooper (2), Attwell and England. Hooper and England were referee and VAR for the Spurs away game (Diaz disallowed goal) which imo is the most obvious case of match-fixing I’ve witnessed anywhere. Attwell is another cunt who goes under the radar but is happy to see our players assaulted with impunity (Sanchez wiping out Diaz at Brighton, Cresswell on Henderson a few years back which remains one of the worst tackles I’ve ever seen and Onana grabbing Mac by the throat last week).
Just for balance here is a list of other PL teams and the number of different refs thay’ve had this season-
Chelsea 11
Brighton 11
Everton 11
Palace 10
West Ham 10
Fulham 10
Wolves 10
Arsenal 9
Leeds 9
Man Utd 9
Brentford 9
Forest 9
Sunderland 9
Burnley 9
Spurs 9
Aston Villa 9
Bournemouth 9
Man City 9
Newcastle are the only other club close with 7. They have had Bankes 3 times but I’m pretty sure he’s not from Sunderland nor do they appear to have any issue with him.
So at what point do the club address this clear anomaly? Every fucking game as soon as the ref/VAR is announced the vast majority of the fanbase know what to expect because it’s the same small group of cunts who have done us over time after time after time.
There are 18 different referees who have taken charge of PL games this season. We have had 6, all of whom have history with this club for all the wrong reasons. If they are not the referee they are more often than not VAR.
It fucking stinks to high heaven but the club will do what it does best and pretend it’s not an issue. Until that changes we will continue to be refereed differently to everyone else.
Yes, but I have serious doubts about his fitness. I don’t mean in terms of avoiding injury so much, but more in terms of whether he can see out games on a regular basis. I’ve seen far too many games where he just appears to flake out. PSG at Anfield last season was a great example.
Genuine answer. No! Every game, he’s an accident waiting to happen. For such a big guy, he’s easily bullied and when he’s got the ball at his feet, he makes me very nervous.
He seems to be a ‘homer’. I always viewed Gini the same way. He was generally excellent at Anfield but would disappear away from home. You can get away with it more in midfield, at CB it sticks out like a sore thumb.
He had some (imo) very good games last season. Appeared a very good player then when things were going well.
Imo, many players who played excellent, very good or just good; have played average, poor or very poor this season.
As to why Arne’s system doesn’t work anymore with the players we have right now and why the form and shape, collectively of our players, is so very bad; that’s another issue with another answer/s.
Yep, this is my feeling too.
Dont blame you!
I did say earlier on in the day…that the bickering and sniping didn’t help TAN…it just riles certain posters…look we all have our opinions they may well differ from our own…instead of mud slinging just say your bit and say…noted …or some mundane comment…everyone has their own thoughts but some we don’t agree with…cmon people we need to stick together.
I wonder if that’s true, would like to see numbers that back it up. If so, maybe Konate at home and Gomez away would be the way to go?
I do wonder whether the Jota situation has impacted the players more than we think. As fans we are somewhat divorced from the day to day machinations of the club, but the players themselves can’t avoid it. Not trying to use this as an excuse, but it crossed my mind as I’m sure it may have others.
Thank you Paul.
