Nah man the CL final was much worse. A season that was almost a triumph undone by 10 minutes of a cheaty game and an ineffectual performance against a poor real Madrid team. I don’t think anyone has gotten over it yet.
Well I’d contend that it was undone over time by a series of bad calls against us and favourable calls for City. The minute Emi Martinez was not available for Villa I knew it’d be them winning.
Sure that too - but without the CL failure then I think we would have coped.

I had a bad feeling the moment I heard our people were having trouble getting into the stadium, then you could see something was wrong with Thiago. All kinds of shit went wrong for us in the night
I was watching in the pub with my lad. A soon as the stories of teargassings and the policing came through I said we wouldn’t win. The players aren’t robots. They knew their families were caught up in it.
A win that night was that nobody was killed.

agree that the CL final was a massive blow, always difficult to find a fair referee to even the game. manure and RM belong in the same league at the very bottom of some pit that’s full of shite
