Truly brilliant first half. The right hand triangle of mo, naby, and trent us unbelievably great going forward. Excellent result. 15 goals now for Mo, absolute machine.
Performance of the ref and subsequent injury to keita a bit of a dampner on the whole thing. Let Rapey Ronaldo get away with a high boot and and an unnecessary follow up boot, then forgave a high boot from Fred (tbf no malice in it compared compared the other two big tackles, but like greizemann or mane on ederson a lack of intent is not the same as safe play), then only booked Pogba for a two footed potential leg breakers needing VAR to convince him to do his job. Shameful from Utd playing that dirty and shameful from the ref not managing it until there was an injury
Can Paul Pogba be banned for more than 3 matches? Whatever he did, it was unneccesary, intentional, malicious and out of control. If the FA doesn’t stamp this out, what is stopping petulant prats like Pogba to spite their managers via a dangerous tackle on an opponent?
Ripped apart red Manc, which should have been satisfactory…but the horrendous foul from the shite when the match was out of reach infuriated me so much that took away the shine from the win. Even after the sent off, they still continued to put in terrible fouls. Burn in hell, red Manc, you deserve nothing less!
My pick of the players from this match:
1= Naby
1= Mo
3 Hendo
United signed off today on what we already knew for a long time - they’re utter shit. Apart from their clownshoe moments our lads outplayed them stone cold. Absolute hammering.
But I’m so livid about Naby getting sent into rehab again - ffs! He was really on the up trajectory some minor wobbles aside and together with Millie’s knock it shapes up to become a midfield crisis now. Just what we need atm.
I don’t know how to feel after that. A demolition of United on their home turf overshadowed by Naby potentially having his leg broken. It might be a weird situation where there could be good news on Naby in 24-48 hours where I celebrate then instead of now.
Certainly not a silver lining but it could have been worse. It was clear from the moment Ronaldo kicked Curtis in the belly that they were going to get their revenge through injuring one of our players rather than on the scoreboard, and seriously I’m the Naby number 1 super fan on here but an injury to Salah, Virg or Ali is game over for our season. We can cover a Naby injury (a bit more difficult if Milly is long term injured).
Salah gets my Motm. Naby a very close second for being involved in the first three goals. Then Jota.
