Yet again our problems in part start from the lack of a spine. Rectify this and we are on the move. Klopp brought in a great spine plus additional gems and the results followed.

You can see the difference a different voice can have on the same set of players.
United were utter garbage under Amorin. They’d given up believing in him. Given up playing for him. Given up fighting. Carrick comes in and without doing anything spectacular and without an influx if new players he’s brought some passion and fight back to them as a team. They’re still not great and I’m not swapping our squad for theirs but what they do have now is some pride.
We on the other hand have gone from Champions to looking like a version of that Amorin side. Tactically lost, mentally weak, emotionally going through the motions.
We don’t need a huge summer rebuild, we need a managers whose voice will be heard and that can instill some pride and passion back into the players. Managers do not turn things round from this kind of place. He’s on a countdown now, I just hope it doesn’t take the start of a new campaign for FSG to realise they need to act.

Weird one. At 2-0 we were deservedly behind but at 2-2 looked like we might nick it. Going to sleep in the first 15 minutes was unforgivable. A number of poor performers but Mac has been “at the scene of the crime” in the same way Ibou has. Can’t wait for the season to end.

Awful play in the first half, then the game just petered out to half time.
Lads actually switched on for 20 minutes and probably should have gone ahead only for them to get some changes and switch off even though we are wide open and can’t defend.
We deserved the loss but Man Utd are bang average and that tells you the quality of the league.
Slot needs to go, I said he hasn’t lost the dressing room and he hasn’t, but everyone’s got lazy and it needs an overhaul.
I’m a bit jealous of Championship clubs, they can switch off til August. Not sure I want to watch this anymore. Not even sure if I’m too bothered with CL if it keeps him in the job.

I didn’t have a chance to watch the game, so I’m catching up here. Sounds like a slow start and a bad first half. Then we rallied and got level, only to (if I’m picking it up right) not keep it going, then as we sat back they got the winner.
Had I watched it I’d probably be as angry as most on here.
Just catching up after the fact and I didn’t expect us to do much there today, especially with no forwards.
Overall it’s not good enough and hasn’t been good enough for quite some time. We should still cobble enough points together to finish in the CL spots, but this is another data point in the conversation about Slot, and even if the noises from the club are supportive while he is in post, I think the end is coming.

The first half was a horror show. The midfield was completely overwhelmed, our RW was far too high on the pitch, our LW and CF decided to switch places. Szobo was isolated too at AM.
The second half was a bit better when the opposition made some very rudimentary mistakes and gave us 2 goals on the platter.
Instead of shoring up the midfield that provides a stable base to work on, Mr Slot decided to take out a increasingly dangerous Frimpong who started deeper in the second half for Rio on the RW. Rio who never played RW before was asked to play RW in one of the most contested matches in the PL.
At that point, Macca was already blowing out of his ass. Mr Slot decided to ignore that. Lo and behold, Macca failed to do his clearance properly and then failed to close down the subsequent shot from Mainoo.
After that all happened, Macca manages to stay on the pitch, contributing nothing forward at all.
Then, we have the fucking kitchen sink thrown wrongly again. We have 5 midfielders on the damn pitch with 2 only performing. And he goes to take out 1 CB. Wtf is that logic???
It is as if Slot is playing favourites and is fucking up the team.
2 goals given on a fucking platter by Manure and we still can contrive to lose it!

You should take a look at how our goals came about and see if we rallied or the opponent fucked up.

Second to be fair but I just don’t think their defence is any good, I remember Leeds destroying them a few weeks back. Credit for a slight improvement and the one off the line was unlucky. But then we made changes and gave up.

Part of me just wants the season to end so we can all move on, hopefully into the next chapter with a bit of a reset.

Let me put it this way. For all the absences and problems, had we had a competent manager, we would have won or at least not lost. The Mancs were almost as unimpressive as we were and they had a lot of momentum coming into this one.
A well-coached team wouldn’t have come away empty handed against these; even with all the injuries.
