Post match: Man Utd v Liverpool (EPL 3/5/26 3.30pm)

Slots a fraud.
Making excuses when the team were fucking shit for 45
Players hate him, fans hate him and i hate him
Fuck off

Players seem very happy playing games in the tunnel. Turning up and then thinking the fans should be giving them their praise.

I generally think they are happy, however you won’t win further success by doing that.

I am so flipping depressed. I don’t think i can face seeing this type of dross football next season. It will tip me over the edge.
There is no way, we will win the league next season, let alone get near the final of CL tournament.

A nice fight back, a lot better than I expected, nevertheless it doesn’t move the needle on Slot imo.

I think the next two seasons are going to be wasted, next season a Slot firing at some stage, and then the next manager needing a season to fix the absolute fuckup that will remain. Assuming Klopp won’t be the incoming manager.

Depends how much time the new manager is given next season and the fact so many clubs could be in flux this summer.

But who do we want as a new manager…a trio of Gerrard, Millie and Xavi…but that’s not going to happen…Jurgen won’t come back…but we need someone to pull these players into shape…into fitness, into the mindset of winning, into the best team ever…again..into winners, fighters, and never give uppers…if you’re out there…reading this…please stand up…we need u now…

So many brush this off as a humorous throwaway comment, I personally think your are being serious and agree with you 100%.

I don’t think it’s as simple as us “stopping” playing, I just think that enough of what made is successful in the preceding 7 years had been diluted by that stage.

Exactly this. The poor professionalism came to light from the top after winning the league and allowing the team to go on a month long piss up. It’s a weak mentality.

I am being serious. Remember how poor we were in the Carabou Final. Since then, we’ve probably only played well in a handful of games.

What !???
They were GIFTED goals !!!
Why should we not expect a Manchester United come back exactly ? Why is this ? What kind of manager says this confidently after having played this game and consistently weak games prior to it ?

I think you are doing Szobo a disservice. He had a bit of work to do. Hardly a gift…

Liverpool have conceded 70+ goals in a single season for the first time since the 2015-16 campaign. The 72 goals conceded by Liverpool so far this season is the most by club since the 1992-93 campaign (79). [

I’ll say one thing for Slot, he loves breaking records.

Tbf Dom was great today. Even in first half when everyone else was utter shite he was at least showing some fight. I gave him grief over that reaction to fans but that was a proper captain’s performance today. In the midst of mediocrity

Just I don’t think he has lost them so eithier there is a disconnect that looks odd or they know he is off.

Steven Gerrard after Liverpool FC’s loss to Manchester United FC:

“That wasn’t good enough—simple as that. The team looks completely unbalanced. No control in midfield, too open at the back, and not enough quality or belief going forward. You can’t come to a game like this and perform like that. It’s not just one or two players—the whole team was off it. No intensity, no aggression, no leadership when it mattered. And I have to say, the manager has to take responsibility as well. The setup wasn’t right, the organisation wasn’t right, and there was no reaction when things started going wrong. At a club like Liverpool, that’s unacceptable. Big games demand big performances—and today, they were miles off it.”

Stevie is not ready for this high calibre level yet. Maybe in 10-15 years.
