That defence has basically been held together by Jonny Evans as it looks atrocious when he doesn’t play.
Absolutely brittle, we got the second when we needed it, Alisson with some good saves and the usual lads on form again.
Need to probably train that in swinger as it’s nearly done us a few times.
Anyhow a completely fair result and I think Taylor managed the game well.
Now we have a break which is a shame but I’ll happily take 9pts and no goals conceded into that break.
Given it to Diaz who seems to be thriving up the Slot Machine.

Gravenberch has been an absolute revelation. Diaz and Salah both excellent too. I can’t remember ever being so relaxed during this fixture. For once it truly was never in doubt.

Easiest game of the season so far.
The midfield three had monster games but Gravenberch stood out from start to finish. Salah with 2 assists and a goal, Diaz with 3 goals to his name already. Defence looking as solid as ever.
Things are looking up and we’re only getting started.

Goldbridge : Casemiro + Rashford + Bruno = £1m a week and none of them would make our bench.

Could have, should have been more, but no one’s is really complaining about that.
Exactly the performance we would have wanted at OT and we managed the game really well i think.
Slot won’t take any praise of course but we look so much more composed than last season.

Best thing I can say about the game is that when Trent’s early one was ruled out it felt like a warning to them of the inevitable rather than a reprieve.
