3 zip at the toilet, great result, long may it continue.

It can happen to players of any age ie waking up the next day and not being half the player they were before, look at Merino that was bought by Arse he didnā€™t even make it through his first training session, the same goes for Caicedo and Lavia for Chelsea etc but I am fairly confident, if I would pay the equivalent of Chiesaā€™s transfer fee for a 2 or 3 year contract for Salah, that he would last for the duration of his contract and that his output would remain the same high quality. The only Risky one would be VVD because of his previous ACL injury but I would still sign him for 2 more years.

Knew someone would pick that up,smartish! :joy:

Always sweet to destroy the Mancs at old toilet, but the way this was done was a joy.Never really gave them a look in.
Gravenberch has been a revelation this season, but tbf ,all the lads are looking good.
It is a team out there not a bunch of individuals like some teams seem to be.
Slot has certainly got them going quite nicely.

All the players did very well but i hope Slot has a word with Dom on that bit of showboating when he had a great chance to score the 4th goal which would have taken us above Man City. Maybe itā€™s a heat of the moment but I think itā€™s something Slot will not stand for.

if you ever want to see a microism in the change of football following and analysis;

there used to be a saying ā€™ id rather my striker be in a good position and miss the chance, than not get the chance at allā€™

2024 version of the same saying would be a meme, and worrisome indepth tactical analysis with indepth insight into the trend said player has had in similar situations, commentator reaction of how ā€˜it just wont do,ā€™ and fan outrage, speculation about goal difference, arrogance, even speculation the squandered op should maybe lead to a dressing down of said player on monday morningā€¦

the lad made the wrong decision at 3-0 upā€¦

Iā€™m probably not the person to respond to this without bias, as Iā€™m Domā€™s number 1 fan, but it didnā€™t look at all to me like showboating but getting stuck in his decision making. Should have been a strike first time and ended up a massive wasted chance. Perhaps subconsciously wanting to keep ETH in a job??

I think Dom had a great game, but sometimes one small decision could have a great impact. 3-0 is wonderful and excellent especially at Old Trafford but the decision potentially made us remain in 2nd place instead of first. And in an alternate world with Manures shitty good luck, Zirkzee might have scored those 2 chances he had and it might be a different story. Itā€™s not a hit against Dom personally but an observation that Slot probably is the kind who might not take this lightly and should and might have a word with Dom.

Thatā€™s why I think ā€˜have a wordā€™ than a punishment etc because would be great for Slot to understand what was he thinking at that moment, if he admit he was showboating then a stern word needed but if it was a stuck in a moment thing, then thatā€™s something Slot can continue to work with him on.

But yes, this was a great night for everyone connected to Liverpool. No buts and itā€™s. So proud we won and so satisfying to see those manures booing. Just a side conversation to have in a football forum

Dom was frustrating, because he should have scored - maybe twice. At least one, it was absolutely painfully so.

However, he is a midfielder. His primary function is not to put the ball in the goal, it is to feed the ball up to those whose primary function that is, while preventing his counterpart from doing the same. By that measure, he was superb. Supply was consistent, while the opponentā€™s supply was starved.

But Dom lad, how about a few dozen practice shots with your left? It is likely better than you think

How many players have these words been said about, and yet have their declines come rapidly? Casemiro and Varane were supposed to be game changers for United, Fabinho justā€¦ disappeared. ManĆ© was still productive before we sold him.

In fact, looking back in hindsight we probably maximised our value on ManƩ.

I really donā€™t like these videos. I donā€™t care if itā€™s performative rage, itā€™s unhealthy to legitimise this kind of behaviour over something as trivial as fucking football.
