The only work Ali did all day
He made a couple of excellent saves.
Last season I was dissapointed with Gravenberch and thought he might be sold in the summer. What a difference in the player now , winning tackles , making good passes and generally working hard.
The win at OT was a great team effort but United looked poor. With the money they have spent and the players they have they should be better than that but I am glad they are not.
I dont think it was show boating, it was more not been clinical wanting everything to be perfect before shooting.
Iām just wondering whether Slot being a Dutch manager will help, as he will have a lot of experience of how he will have been trained early in his career and how to get the best from him.
saw Chiesa watching the game at OT and dude looked awestruck. It was like he was asking himself," how the hell am I supposed to get into this team?"
Looking back on yesterdayās game it was pretty even until we got our first goal and then we just bossed the game at a canter. The highlight for me was the way Mo took his goal. He made it look so easy but when you look at it it was a masterpiece. The pass was fractionally behind him and to get the power and direction that he got was brilliant. A special mention to Gravenberch who I criticised last season. What a revelation heās been in each of his three games this season. Letās hope it continues.
The gantry where the commentators sit looks worse than a bog
Isnāt Arneās number 2 part of the coaching set up with the national team (or has done so in the recent past - and so may have a good working relationship with him already?)
Yeah, noticed that. Carra and Neville looked like they were in a shit shed with a 30 year old leaking plastic corrugated roof.
Would love to see a highlights reel of Grav over the last few games
Game knows game. He looked like heās thinking āJesus!! I got my work cut out for me to get in with these boys!ā
Also, he was being a professional! He wasnāt just fanboying, looked like he was intently studying the team.
What with this narrative Neville has about Slot being Liverpoolās third choice? I remember us being linked to Amorim, but as far as I remember we never made any serious approach. My mind has gone blank on who else may have been in the mix.
Is he just trying to claim that if you go through a process to find a coach then whoever you hire at the end is automatically considered the last choice? Seems a strange argument.
The guy previously at Brighton was talked about as being a potential candidate
Whataboutism, the first strategy when you know your positionās fucked.
Iāve not seen what heās said about it, but itās such a strange thing to be talking about.
Is he saying that United are so shite they got thrashed 3-0 at home by Liverpoolās third-choice for manager?
His argument was that Man Utdās board made the right decision to keep ten Haag because they couldnāt find anyone better in a tough window for managerial candidates - his evidence being that Bayern Munich hired a relegated manager and Liverpool hired their third choice despite having 6 months notice.
But he seems to be conflating media speculation with Liverpoolās decision making process.
I would think that Liverpool had a shortlist of guys with whom they were having discussions/interviews with before zeroing in on Slot. It doesnāt mean Slot was the third choice.
Alonso, Amorim, Slot from his perspective I think.
