Good win for us but I now have neck strain from trying to watching both the Liverpool game and the keystone cops utd game.
Could be to do with home fans getting so tense and on the players backs. Away fans were brilliant today
It did cross my mind on Thursday that.
Might be beneficial to have a few trips away. Then again Goodison is just toxic in itself.
Parts of that first half were tough to watch. I struggle to remember such a talented group of players giving such a thorough impression that they had forgotten how to play football. Trentās goal really sort of broke the ice, but we still struggled to get much in the way of fluidity.
Three points. Job done. After a blip, it was nice to see a response. If we keep going you never know. Arsenal have some tough games, definitely. Man City are usually relentless with the finish line in sight, but thereās a case to be made that they are quite the same this season.
So you never know. Just do our job and see whatās what.
Three points against the bitters please. They will be kicking us, but hopefully we slap them down with a dominant display.
The half time boot from Klopp seemed to have its desired effect.
Itās the best Iāve seen from us in some weeks.
Gakpo, Gravenberch and Endo my motm votes.
Great free kick by Trent.
Better overall, but wtf is wrong with our stars? Dom, Mo, Darwin, even Macca all looked terrible when they came on.
Very strange.
There is some fucking moaning on here. Itās away from home against a team somewhere between 10th and 13th best in the country, and we mostly controlled the game and ran out deserved 3-1 winners.
Fucking hell, lads. Come on.
Iām not moaning. I thought most of the team played well and we deserved to win. Just concerned by the dip in form of our top players as, Iām sure, we all are.
It is hard to nail down what exactly changed. We had the same number of shots in both halves, and actually had a lower possession%. But we went at them a lot more effectively, and stopped letting them get easy shots. That could well have been the ābootā effect, just playing with that little bit more intention, both with the ball and without.
I thought we played really well in the first half as well, and it seemed pretty obvious that the plan was to exert control and not do anything stupid. We have gone to cut out the early goals and weāve done that this week.
The moaning was the reason have to give up reading during the game certain people love to over exaggerate how things are going.
A good win, players rested and no injuries. Away to the bitters next.
Iām more relax now after our 3-1 win.
Good win, hopefully big step on the way to at least making the title race interesting, at least.
No injuries, some players rested,Grav and Gakpo, really stepped up today, have given Klopp a dilemma on Wed selections to start.Nice one to have.
Gakpo MOTM for me, by a short half head. Most put in though.
Yeah you fucking tell em Mascot lad. You tell em.
You werenāt by any chance referring to me right?
We were dire for about 20 minutes of the 2nd half. Wasteful with the ball, and actually trying to do something stupid. There are the shots we allowed in that period - we did not get a shot on their goal in that entire period.
Half of the total for the match, 3 of them with a long step of the penalty spot. I was just shaking my head, that should really have been at least 2 goals.
The good news is that they were not allowed another shot until 82ā
3 points is all that matters, was hoping for a couple more goals to get a better goal difference.
Thank God we won.
I was too āchickenā to come in the In Match thread yesterday. It took me alot of deep breaths to come here this morning.
One game at a time.
Same starting 11, need to keep the momentum.
