Ok
Gets me when the commentators say āits hit the woodworkāā¦
When we all know the goals are made from extruded aluminium, arenāt theyā¦
āthe goalkeeper tipped the ball onto the extruded aluminiumā
Bit more of a mouthful I suppose, but hey, letās make these pundits
work for their money a bit more eh :0)
I actually thought Taylor gave Salah more free kicks than most, but agree that itās criminal how heās treated. Maybe partly because heās an honest guy that doesnāt scream and roll around. And I donāt think his team mates stand up for him either. Weāre never in refs faces like all other teams are
Its on ongoing gripe of many on here. I really donāt know the reason, but the tackle on Saturday bordered on red card, was a definite yellow and free kick.
And nothing.
Anything Taylor gave him was obvious, but missing this was negligent.
Imagine that on Rashford, or Kane?
And @WeeJoe you are correct about getting into the refs face on this type of stuff.
Way too timid. Klopp should have a notebook in all post match pressers, pointing out the multiple unpunished fouls on Salah.
Kaneās the worst diver/actor in the PL and thereās never a word said about it
The white captain of England vs an Islamitic player of the most hated club in England ā¦
Grealish diving last week and the pundits applauding him for ābeing cleverā.
Sickening
Thisā¦
Alisson acknowledged
Anyone doubting the value of Alisson Becker to Liverpoolās campaign was given emphatic evidence here, the goalkeeper underlining his position as arguably the best in the world with a hugely impressive performance.
It was enough to earn a headlock from his delighted manager following the final whistle, while his fellow Liverpool goalkeepers were similarly enthused.
Having waited on the touchline for Alisson to leave the field, Caoimhin Kelleher gave the Brazilian a huge embrace and Adrian offered a big smile and handshake
Is there any footballer in the world with a sense of fun who would not want to play for Jurgen :0)
Thatās beneath you mate.
No it isnāt. Iām convinced that it plays a role in judging fouls on both players. You are welcome to disagree.
So a ref doesnāt give a foul because heās racist and Islamist. OK then.
Well MO are people too with their likes and dislikes, for all kinds of reasons, if you think it does not play a role in how they judge fouls on Kane and Salah, well I call you naĆÆeve.
You can call me @cynicaloldgit brother ā¦
Maybe not quite as stark as that.
But they definitely give fouls when on England captain Kane, and City diver Grealish.
Do you think Salah gets the same treatment as Kane? Or Grealish?
I thinks its obvious that he is fouled often with very little of those fouls penalised.
If thats the case then ask why?
I am unsure about all of the @Dutch answer, but there has to be a reason.
Iām convinced that race has something to do with it, all refereeās? No donāt think so. Can I prove it? No I canāt but it makes sense with all the racist crap that goes around these days. MO would be immune for it ā¦ donāt think so.
Another example, van Dijk, Wijnaldum spoke out against racism loudly and went even as far boycotting some pundits who they thought crossed the line. All of a sudden for a lot of people in the Netherlands told they where not as good as one said they were, van Dijk the best defender in the world, not a chance, not even close ā¦
Racism is everywhere, under MO too.
I think the TV and the pundits at the time really did it in for MOā¦
There was spell when everyone and their dog was accusing MO of being a diverā¦ Me thinks it was this that is still on the minds of the Gobshite referees
100%. And there is definitely unconscious bias (at least) in the media discourse. Salah has never dived like Kane and Grealish do in every game
Salah doesnāt act like heās about to die unlike the others which is probably a big part of it.
After that tackle at Newcastle he basically just sat up and laughed.
Next time it happens to him, it would be good if Jurgen called the whole team over to the dug-out and remonstrated to referee to act for the safety of the playersā¦ would really bring the pressure on the officials to start taking note of serious fouls against us.!
100% he is far far too nice, if he rolled around and stayed down i.e. caused a stop in play it would give time for his team mates to get on at the ref and then I think VAR would get involved.
