Jeesus…

Kelleher’s omission doesn’t get any better on the replay.

Two points lost to a goalkeeping error !

Draw is a fair result. Our defence looks very fragile. Salah unbelieveable again.

Absolutely bent refereeing. Same every time we go to Newcastle. Their two twats in chief, Gordon and Joelinton are free to award themselves free kicks whenever they want. Freedom to kick the shit out of us.

Unfortunately the points are on Kelleher. Absolutely terrible mistake. Born of overconfidence and arrogance. Believing his own hype? Not the first team he’s gambled on a ball going out and not been aware of a threat at his far post.

Will take a point, but 3-2 on 83’ minutes, and you still have two subs available. Come if Arne, that’s a bit shit.

Good points, came back twice away from home. Isak goal was nothing Kelleher could do about it. Then Mo single handedly getting us ahead.

The bad for me was Slot with rotation issues and lack of subs at the right times. Five minutes before Gordon scored, was obvious we were gassed (Grav trying to pull Barcodes back on a break then realizing he is on a yellow). But the subs came after we went behind. That again turned the game around and we managed to get in front.

Then in the 87th minute, Barcodes made 3 subs to have the intensity in the last 7 minutes. That’s when Slot should’ve used his two remaining subs. Kelleher with a huge mistake, but that happens. Needed that intensity in those final few minutes, which I believe Endo and Harvey would’ve given (plus with a yellow card trigger happy ref, new players could use their one lifeline).

Hopefully, this shows Slot that rotation is needed, especially after the two intense games we had against Madrid and 115.

Defending was pretty disgraceful, and Kelleher’s blunder for the equalizer was inexcusable. Also I miss Jota — Darwin is like Lovren, all the technical attributes and lots of effort but seemingly no brain. Even last season he had 1 goal in our last 11 and none in last 8 PL games, which is unacceptable for a starting striker in a PL team. Frustrating that Alisson has missed so much time over his illustrious career since 2019, but c’est la vie.

Now I will end by saying that a point at SJP is not the worst result in the world, especially when we could have been out of sight (down) in the first half.

He fucked up alright. Very bad decision on his part.

The conditions didn’t help either side. Good game for the neutral and better one point than nothing. Goalkeeper’s mistake but the lad has done brilliantly for us over the last few weeks and saved a one on one first half. Tough to take but back to Goodison on Saturday and hopefully three points.

Yeah but while you were gloating I posted first on the Everton thread

Endo would have been perfect at that moment, to calm things down and make sure that we get a little bit of control in midfield. I really don’t get why Slot snubs him like that.

They delayed the flight then?

On the back of the performance, I’ll take a draw. Too many players looked underdone either mentally or physically from the weekend. Some terrible mistakes mixed in and this felt more like a Klopp-last-season match than a Slot one.

Soo much is going to be made of the ref. Madley like Taylor is an absolute fool that gets easily sucked in by teams. Incompetence is a dangerous thing. Very one sided refereeing in terms of their diving and the yellows, but he didn’t lose us the game (ok or was a draw) regardless of how frustrating his one-sidedness was.

We have ourselves to blame there.

Hope our ‘fans’ don’t crucify Kelleher. He’s been so good and had a bad night

2-3 with ten to go, get Endo and Morton for Nunez and Salah and two banks of five it.

You can’t legislate for the Kelleher mistake, but really you just make sure no more football happens.

When’s Konaté back? Really missed the big man tonight.

And, sorry, but that blunder by Kelleher is inexcusable. You can’t let the ball go over you like that.

The ref was also a complete cunt: five yellow cards for us, while the Barcodes were allowed to get away with pretty much everything.

Anyway, batter the Bitters on Saturday and this result will soon be forgotten. Let’s not forget that we still have a healthy lead at the top of the table.

Problem with crosses?

Alisson and Konate out, Trent on the bench. Plus Quansah at RB because Bradley’s injured. We started with three of our ideal back five out, and our back up RB out as well. We’re gonna need to battle out results until they’re all back.

Everton will be a game that will be reffed in the same manner as this was. Big test

We can’t win every game, I am kind of ok with the point, Newcastle probably deserved to get something. I feel a bit sorry for Kelleher, fans are cruel. He is getting slaughtered and I even read a comment that we should just leave him there, he will find his way home surely.

We had already turned the game around, and the subs changed the dynamic of the game immediately (I felt they should have been made right after our first goal).
We deserved to win this game, after the end of the game we had the better stats, and even in their dominant period we had the better chances.
Very unlucky too, and ref was really bad as well.
But such a pity to get the third, hold on, and then that mistake…Also gutted for Kelleher, he had such a great run of games, to have a performance that costs us 2 points.

Even though it’s a good point away, can’t help but feel disappointed after it felt like we did it.

Salah MOTM, with Trent and Curtis votes as well.
Honourable mention to Szobo for having an impact.

Also disappointing to immediately see our big gap reduced. I just hope we manage to win the derby without injuries.
