Post Match | Newcastle vs Liverpool | Sunday August 27th 16:30h

Someone mentioned in the pre-match thread that they’d like a smash and grab. This was exactly what the definition is.

Didn’t make any obvious mistakes, only on for 10, not really long enough to make any grand statements. Stayed at home and passed it to red shirts.

What I find comical is Howe almost thinking he’s world class :joy:

I mean we all know how plastic fans are, but the worse part is they haven’t even started their champions league campaign yet…and so a bet on Eddie Howe may be called for sooner rather than later.

Because sooner or later uefa/FIFA/fa will have to act etc…and I think Saudi know a backlash is coming etc…but…

They have a club in champions League now…and do their fans honestly believe Howe is the manager with the tactical nous to lead that campaign ?

Reckon he will be sacked within weeks tbh, I mean already played 3 lost 2…he was never going to be in the job for long term…and he’s a fucking idiot to boot

That’s up to the players but I realistically no one has faced better sides than us bar perhaps Newcastle this season.

We got 4 points out of 2 tricky matches. That keeps us in a better position.

Chelsea most likely will rectify their problem. They’ve got a good set of players and Pochettino is a good coach. They’ll pose a bigger problems to all the other CL contenders at home. Hindsight , even though we should have gotten the three points. Better get 1 point than 0

Having now seen the incidents back the idea that Trent should have been sent off is laughable. The first yellow card was a clear foul on him by Gordon, the second claim he very barely touched him.

Howe should embarrassed for talking about that. Then again I don’t think he is capable of shame, given who he chose to work for.

He probably should have gotten one for second challenge as a professional foul, but never a second yellow after that first one. The first yellow was a silly decision after Gordon sent him sprawling

Newcastle obviously have excellent evacuation procedures. The stadium emptied very quickly after Nunez scored his second goal.

There were dozens of them berating him. :joy::nerd_face:

All things considered , a satisfying weekend.

Arsenal drew. City weren’t likely to do anything other than win , United result could have been better (I blame @mattyhurst for that) , and we did a right old smash and grab…And Everton did just an Everton and Richarlison was shit.

Trent barely touched him.

When are refs going to realise that contact doesn’t equate to a foul? :rage::nerd_face:

Post Match Interview. Alisson being used as a translator for Darwin. Ali speaks portugese. Darwin answers in Spanish. Ali’s English has kind of a Eastern Europe accent. Hilarious.

He’s a german. What did you expect ?

He doesn’t speak German.

I think he’s got a german passport.

Which means Ali speaks Portuguese, Spanish and English. I wish I could do that.

Also plays guitar.

Was your fault for trying to play up Forest chances pre game.

And Arbroath won. :+1::nerd_face:

I did say Forest had a chance. Which they did.
