As LFC fans - We needed that today :0)
There were other key players. Alisson, quite obviously, played a blinder. Great save soon after the red, was all over the box cutting down angles collecting balls and intimidating the hell out of barcodes. I thought Gomez was very solid back there. Szoboszlai had another fine match. Hardly puts a foot wrong and unbalances two or three of the opposition every time he’s in possession. Another fine cameo for Harvey Elliott. Solid link up play from him and seemingly no errors.
To be fair Alison deserves a shout… but Darwin showing he can exactly repeat a beautiful goal is the moment of the game.
Lol. On a lighter note change of room worked!!! Hahaha. Come on you mighty Reds!!!

Post update
FT: Newcastle 1-2 Liverpool
Jurgen Klopp is beaming now.
The German is on the pitch, doling out hugs and high fives.
Then it’s over to the away fans for a customary three air punches.
There are still home fans sat in the stands staring into space. Dumbfounded.
I went with Darwin but Macallister and Dom effectively kept us motoring that second half. If I’m honest Henderson and Fabinho based on last season there would be no late winner from Nunez.
It was their manager who dropped a bollack taking Gordon off.
We had star performers in goal, CB, midfield and upfront.
Darwin Nunez you beauty. What a finish. Back to his old Benfica days. Two similar goals he scored against us for Benfica.
Brooks, Attwell, Webb, Howe, beheading cunts, Gordon, Neville, Taylor, Tierney, Kavanagh, PGMOL, fat horsepunching dickheads…fuck every fucking one of you you fucking vile, disgusting, cheating cunts!!!
Hope you all choke on your fucking tea you fucking corrupt pieces of shit
FUCKING GET IN THERE!!!
Darwin Fuckin Nunez
Ya beauty…
Trent had a nightmare of a game. Klopp needs to get a CB and start playing 3 at the back and Trent as CDM.
Not the narrative at all given we’d regained control 15 minutes before that with the first double change.
John Brooks was in a belligerent mood from the first whistle. The clamp down on petulance has given refs more of an authoritarian streak. It takes the focus away from tactical fouls etc, and gives more subjective decisions that refs can have a power trip over.
Trent/Darwin both stupid for throwing/kicking ball away, yet in the last 10 minsof the first half, Newcastle twice did similar things and no yellow.
VVD was rash and stupid for making that non-existant challenge, and yet on another day, it would be a yellow.
Two well taken goals by DArwin, and a nice assist for the second by Mo. Jota injected some fighting spirit as well.
Good honesty from Robbo seeing the penalty back
I did say to keep the head. We dug in and countered well towards the end. Whatever happens, I now fucking love Darwin Nunez to the end of days.
And I agreed with you
