Game changed when they took Gordon off. I couldn’t believe it.

I cannot believe Gomez got fewer votes than Trent. A lot of creditable performances but for me the top 3 were Nunez, Ali and Gomez.
This was certainly a remarkable team performance , fingers crossed we can keep it going. I still thnk we should have had a better tranfer window. Another defender is really needed. Quanseh di well yesterday but a more experienced option is required. If we need another midfielder we have Trent. Gomez is good cover at RB or CB.

As I said if they want to pull that then we complain if not I’d let it stand.

Isak is going away from goal as he doesn’t need to take a touch, as with the goal Nunez scored, he just needs to let the ball run across his body to be in on goal as the weight of the pass was perfect.

A tangle of legs, Virg went through Ihe back of Isaks right foot before getting to the ball, that is a foul. If that happened on Mo, what would you be saying?

Also, I was a referee instructor and have played, coached and reffed not just football but numerous other sports so I think I have a broad knowledge of understanding and interpreting rules. So I may trump the fellow you quoted. BTW only put this as the othrr guy you quoted mentioned his experience.

I don’t know why I even replied because I cannot recollect a time where a supposed contentious decision has happened against Liverpool and you have argued that it was a right decision by the ref.

Not going to comment again as it is fruitless

In fairness, if it happened to Mo it would be play on and no one would bat an eyelid.

Problem is I do agree with that, but there would be an uproar on here and I would be leading it alongside Quicksand

Should have mentioned Gomez above too, he is another player who stood up to be counted.

The best bit from Gomez was when Barnes broke away down our right and would have had an easy square ball to Wilson but Gomez covered that and eventually blocked the shot,

If that was Dan Burn on Salah we’d still be hearing what a great tackle it was, he’d be in Garth Brooke’s team of the weekend while pundits far and wide would be hailing him as the (semi) future of English defensive football. Southgate himself would have ended up in the tabloids having been caught rubbing one out while reviewing the footage.

Speaking of Dan Burn, I did get particular enjoyment out of it being him Nunez exploited for both goals. I don’t really have anything against him more what he represents - a side we’re constantly told how great a story they are playing a player at FB whose physical limitations dictate how cautious they need to be to accommodate his ability to turn or run. I loved that Darwin did to him, twice, exactly what you’d imagine any forward would be licking his lips at the prospect of being able to if he can find a situation to run at him.

If we complain they’d make it longer.

Hell of a comeback win! One man down, away at Newcastle and we still pull out the victory 2-1! Nunez was sensational in this comeback, he changed the entire dynamic of the game when he got onto the pitch.

I hope Klopp capitalizes on this momentum and confidence boost for the young man and starts him for our very next match against Aston Villa. Strikers can get hot based on confidence, so strike while the iron is hot, Jurgen!!
