Post Match | Newcastle vs Liverpool | Sunday August 27th 16:30h

We’re not far away lads. Another defensive player in this week and we’ll be challenging

Look at us when we play against 10 men :see_no_evil: it’s even worse.

The Bonesaws won’t sack Howe until they see what happens to Cheaty. If the decisions are corrupt, and Cheaty aren’t stripped of every win since the cheating started, they’ll go all in. If not, and financial rules start to be enforced, they’ll withdraw. Like Cheaty, they’re relying on their oily money to buy the game’s top officials. If that does happen then the game is dead anyway!

Goes on a bit, doesn’t he.

Proud to say that I watched the whole game and never gave up. We were always making chances and playing with more heart than that Saudi club.
I always felt, even after the sending off (maybe even more so after!) that we had more quality on the pitch than them.
This club keeps giving us these priceless moments and memories. Here’s hoping we can go from strength to strength after this. YNWA!

Almost as much as JĂźrgen.

Always expected we would grab one goal back. The second one frankly was a bonus

I turned off the TV the last time 2014 when we were losing vs QPR. After that game I swore to never give up again. With 30 minutes to go today I asked my son if we should turn it off and join my birthday celebration dinner. He said no, and we watched it to the end. Amazing…

I actually missed most of the first half and said I’d watch the second and turn it off when a second goal goes in for one of the teams

I did, I missed Pope’s attempt at being Alisson. :joy:

Wow, that was quite some ending to this game. Nunez, how clinical can one be? Absolutely fantastic on his two chances.

In generall, to be reduced so soon to ten men and still being able to apply the pressure while keeping the opposition at bay , and scoring the two late winning goals is a testament to the spirit which seems to be within this squad.

This will give the lads a lot of confidence going forward. Despite difficult circumstances, we find ourselves with seven points from nine, having already dealt with two difficult away matches. Onwards and upwards!

(Genuine question here as I didn’t see the first hour of the game: is VVD’s red card deserved? Who deserves a bollocking? The ref for being too harsh/biased/corrupt, or VVD for being a complete idiot?)

What a fuckin drama. That prick John Brooks was the 4th referee of our 4-3 win vs. Spurs last season. Looks like he tried his best to avenge for his mate Paul Fooking Tierney. Absolutely biased booking for TAA, after he failed to see a 100% fould against our player. The red card was a gift for the home side too. Joelington committed at least 5 fouls for the first 30 minutes of the match, but no sign of a booking,Brooks let Newcastle be overaggressive with purpose. In our last home match an absurd red card vs. Bournemouth, now we had to play a direct rival for top four with 10 men for around 70 minutes /I count the extra ten minutes the prick in black added for both halves/.

While at the same time Manure won with a very, very light penalty and a red card, same help for Arsenal by the way. Add to that the 100% penalty ‘‘not seen’’ by the referees and VAR in Manure’s win vs. Wolves. Coward Webb is doing his best to help his favourite mancs and stop us early in the season.

Alisson with MoM display, a true leader. Nunez, of course, will win the prize for best player with his two goals and overall impact on the match /still needs to improve his English, if Allie can, you also can do that Darwin/.

I am not Gomez’s biggest fan, but today he was impressive, we need him in that type of form with Konate’s non-stop injuries and VvD’s red card. Huge compliments for Quansah, played in a very difficult situation and was solid.

Szobo was our best midfielder and that is another proof that money buy you quality. Jota was a real menace and Mo with another fantastic assist, waited, waited and released Nunez at the right moment. Robo, Alexis and Elliot were also good today.

Huge praise for Klopp, he has managed to instill confidence and a fighting spirit in this new group of players, fantastic substitutions and time for his critics in the prematch thread to eat the humble pie.

TAA needs to wake up, for a second successive match he is making childish mistakes. He is the 2nd captain of this club, needs to grow up on the pitch and be much more concentrated.

Finally, the recruitment team should wake up from their summer vacation and improve the squad. Newcastle have Bruno, Arsenal have Rice, Manure have Casemiro, Chelsea have Caicedo, City have Rodri as defensive midfielders. We have 30 years old Endo, nothing against the boy, hopefully he will get better, but we need more quality in his position and a central defender. And we need Szobo type of signings, not Arthur or Ben Davies’s type of signings.

Rubbish.

If he’d brought Darwin on earlier, he would have had a hat trick.

Can anyone explain what’s happening with the new rule of yellow card for asking ref to book opponent? The entire Newcastle team, their manager, and that wanker assistant should have been booked

Yes. He got the player before the ball and denied an obvious goal scoring opportunity.

The player wouldn’t have an obvious goal scoring chance then. The fallacy that people do think a player would be able to convert the chance with his feet being where they were is idiocy
