I disagree. We deserved not to lose, and in terms of the win, we stuck at it at a tough ground under tough circumstances (wirtz, new manager bounce, shit ref). Defended well, albeit conceded one too many chances.
Expect us to play much better, but good to see us grind out a win.

That was a damn chore to watch…
4 shots on target all game long…Bar for the shot that scored the goal and the Hugo’s header before the handball goal by Macca, I couldn’t remember the other two.
The final third movement is a mess. Set-pieces are marginally better compared to the last time round. The first half was one of the worse first half I ever seen. The next 45 minutes wasn’t any better.
A better and more incisive team will cut this team to shreds like what Citeh did to us
We were very lucky that NFO had a midweek game and is blunt as fuck.

I thought the lads played awfully. We were just incredibly lucky to win.
I suppose I should be happy with 3 points, but I feel it is a dodgy 3 points.
We need to play better than today. We will have no chance against better opposition in Champions League and F.A Cup.

The defence comes out with credit. We just didn’t get going in midfield. Grav was playing like a vampire with a garlic ball.
At this stage of the season, a win is a win. Really needed that. Performance wise was utter shite. Slot needs to get away from this safety first approach. The first half was horrible to watch. Couldn’t get a string of passes together.
Better second half, though the chances created was low. Hugo should’ve scored with the golden chance, before the goal was chalked off by VAR due to hitting Alexis’ elbow.
Usually a last gasp goal would signal momentum, but this is basically Groundhog Day from the first few games of the season, where we underperformed but came away with 3 points.
Results wise, an excellent weekend for us.

Young Rio looked so much better than Mo in those 10 minutes or so. If he throws another strop then he will look ridiculous. Not sure what he found so funny.

At last a bit of luck !
But…we played just like a team that had a full uninterrupted week of coaching by Slot.
Slow, slow, slow. No forward passing…too risky.
Keep the ball, possession is all that matters.
If they have the ball run up to them but dont tackle them ..too risky, yellow cards, injuries just jockey and wave your arms.
If you must make a forward pass be sure you close your eyes and put your boot through it.

3 points and a better 2nd half. However, the 1st half performance was the worst I can remember since Stoke thrashed us, when Rodgers was manager. Truly abysmal.

Not sure why VAR is motm the first goal was a goal.
Anyhow didn’t wake til 3.15 checked score but also the commentary and didn’t bother and then switched on the last 15.
Fully deserved to win on that last 15 dunno what you’re all moaning about.
Only downside today is Wirtz and hopefully not serious.
