Post match: Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool (21/02/26 14:00 GMT)

Rodgers had worse and in fact Slot has.

It has been seven years and that goal is still utterly mesmerizing.

That’s all I have to say about this match.

We were poor that day as well if I remember.

Pretty damning. We are so weak. Outfought completely. We owe the gods for this victory, and the universe will punish us later down the line…

Or maybe the gods realised they are a scummy club that deserves fuck all and seem to show up against us and not half of the others in the league.

This is a posibillity, sure

But we are still not doing anything about our own predicament, so hard to see what we deserve now, other than poor results.

They were actually on a break for a good part of the week. In the short term, it didn’t bring much in terms of performance, but in the longer run, we might see the benefits.

Anyway, an unlikely three points after a dire performance. I feel a bit for Forest, who played well and needed the three points bitterly, but couldn’t stick the knife in when they had us at their mercy, especially during the first half, but also at some key moments in the second half. But they couldn’t take their chances, and got punished as so often happens in football.

As for us, we move on, with the hope of improvement until the next game. Every player bar maybe Ngumoha has a large margin of progression, to say the least.

• Humongous 3 points.
• So jammy but who cares.
• Take it however we have to improve.
• A really bizzare game of football.
• Capitalised on others dropping points.
• Clean sheet to top it off.

A great escape like that used to fill me with joy but that’s no longer the case. I really couldn’t have cared less had we drawn or lost. Our football is shocking and our players are embarrassing themselves and the club. We need a new midfield and a new manager.

Will take the three points but oh what a terrible performance. Cannot understand why we have our best midfielder playing at right back and Gomez sitting on the bench. I know he switched it around mid first half but not playing Joe from the start is crazy. Thought both centre backs did a good job but the rest were awful. What Mo was finding funny all game I don’t know. Still think there’s something up in the changing room with Slot and a couple of players. Honestly hope I’m wrong.

Do a bit better than throwing nonsensical insults. At least explain why someone is entitled for having a slightly higher bar, considering our relative squad and strenght, instead of just unleashing venom for no reason (i suppose you are trying to feel better).

Fuck off Forest, fuck off Tierny.

Otherwise, a disgrace of a performance that shouldn’t be swept under the rug because of the 3 undeserved points. Most of the players looked like they were on holidays. Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez and Szoboszlai were the only ones to come out with any credit from the starters and Ngumoha from the bench. He really deserves more minutes or even a few starts over of this Gakpo, but we all know that he won’t get them.

No it wasn’t. Even McAllister has admitted it went in off his elbow.

If Macca had been a defender then there is no way that would have been flagged as a penalty. So why is it not a goal?

You can’t score a goal with your arm…

Scoring and Handball Restrictions (Law 12)

While other body parts are allowed, the hand and arm are strictly regulated. A goal is not awarded if an attacking player scores:

  • Directly from their hand or arm, even if it is deemed accidental.

Tell that to Maradonna. Oh wait…

Covered less ground than a team that played midweek

Oh bollocks! I never added that one.
