Never in doubt 
We didnāt play well, the passing was very poor, but we dug deep and got the points. We looked lightweight up top and nothing was sticking. We were powder puff on the wings until Rio offered some threat and put the cross in that led to the goal. The midfield had way too many holes and Forest came though us without too much difficulty. We were fairly resolute in central defence and Konate gets my motm. Alisson made some good saves too.
Overall we were poor but the points keep us in the hunt for the CL places. Iām sure there will be a review over Slot in the summer and we will see whatās what then. In the meantime, top five is a must.

Shite performance, particularly from the midfield. All three could not have complained if they got hooked at half time, but thank god we got over the line.
Hopefully the Wirtz injury isnāt a serious one as we looked clueless without him.

Just watched the game and what a turd of a game, but 3 points is what matters.
What I will say is that the fellas fought to keep a clean sheet and our 2 CBās were excellent.

Did you see our 1st half we couldnāt pass wind never mind a football and our touch was like playing with steel toe capped wellies so no chance of keeping possession and the worst 3 were, Our 3 starting midfielders, Jones, Grav and Macca.
I am very close to 60 and played yesterday and I reckon I can still pass better than some, nay most out there in the 1st half!!!

Totally agree on this, that is the only positive to take from this as our players actually seemed to really put their bodies on the line not to concede.

The passing was beyond woeful and our touch was just as bad, I couldnāt believe how shocking we were on the ball in that 1st half, it was like watching a bunch of 4 year olds keep kicking back to the opposition

Just watched the game on repeat, and football is a different sport when you can just skip forward 15seconds every time the ball goes out of play. Just wrapped everything up on just over an hour, speaks volumes for how much time is wasted in football.
Anyway, if we must go the game.
That first half was as bad a performance as Iāve ever seen. It was absolutely fucking woeful. Some of them need to seriously look at themselves. I totally understand that the late withdrawal of Wirtz will have thrown them, but they are professional footballers who should be able to rise above that.
But while we played in possession like the ball had dog shit on it, we were pretty resilient in defence and prevented Forest creating very much.
That pattern continued as the game developed in the second half and we got a grip.
Overall, very, very fortunate to get out 0-1.

Mac Allister is playing like a lad who simply canāt be fucked anymore. It was great he got the goal and there is a lot to be said for him being there and forcing that goal in, but Christ he was a passenger for 90 minutes.

If I am made manager this week to replace Slot then bring your boots next Saturday your playing.
You can have your choice of position either replacing Macalister, Gakpo, Jones or Gravenberk.
You cant have Salahās place as I will be picking my wife to play wide right. She will struggle to play every three days because she is 77 so Salah will have his chance to regain his form playing the midweek games.
But if he doesnt get a grip soon I will be re-sign Ian Callaghan.
With these improvements I am confident we will improve our chances of a top four finish.

Did the replay thing. Excruciating watching the first half. Second slightly better, but still no fun. How we won that I do not know, but somehow a crucial three points. Surely we canāt get any worse.

What a load of rubbish, take the points anytime but it took us 96 minutes to find them.
First half the lads looked like they were on holidays, sure some were!
We are better than that, and a bunch of other performances this season, it needs to be addressed this summer.
In relation to that goal?,apart from Maradona a while ago,I was unaware that you could score off your arm, seems even Macca conceded that.
Konate MOTM,and time to give Rio a bit more game time, he has got a lot to learn but this is where he will learn it!

Also why was Maccaās goal ruled out? The replay Iāve seen indicated that, at worst, his hand was in a natural position, and more importantly there was no conclusive evidence it even struck it - looked much more likely his back. If that had been the other way there is no question the goal would be given, every day of the week.
