True. However, what I meant was commanding and controlling the flow of the game. You can still play shitty and yet be better than your opponent.
And that hasn’t happened yet. However, still a good start of the season.
I think Slot struggles with the type of football palace play, sit back and defend in numbers but lightning quick on the counter.

Today’s lesson will be a more sobering one than that NF loss last season.
At least for that NF loss and draw last season, it can be chalked down to a Jammy goal and poor finishing.
This on the other hand is a complete tactical collapse. If not for Alisson’s heroics in the first half, the team will be staring at an end of a beating.
Slot got only a few days to figure out how to maximise the abilities of our forwards. The first half had no service to Isak and Salah, both of whom are the top 2 scorers for the league last season…That is very concerning!

The thing is, because we’re so slow and ‘controlled’ in build up, we aren’t as switched on when a 2nd ball is up for grabs or for a duel etc.
Just wondering , if a foul commited upfield before a goal is part of VAR review, why is an incorrectly awarded corner not similarly reviewed?

I think we miss Diaz and Nunez for the quick release.
We were unbalanced in the 1hf and once the adjustments were made in the 2hf, we controlled the game with our possession and created at least three big chances.

I have no issue with losing to them as other clubs will struggle there especially if they keep Glasner it’s the performance in that first half

If you’re going to use this arguement to defend a dreadful performance, then surely it can be used for everytime it’s happened? Which is about 4 times too many so far and it’s only September.
The worst stream I ever watched today every few minutes it stopped and I still have not seen the winner. Terrible performance except Alisson and Szoboslai, pedestrian football and still kept giving possession away.
Lets put that into perspective too we should have had one goal it was harder for Konate to miss and he did Grav shot was a great save and Slobo had a great chance thats 3 our way too.
