Who was he supposed to pass to? Everytime the ball came near him our nearest player was 30 yards away.

I’ve reached the Rodgers/Hodgson stage of being none plussed. Like those goals would have hurt like hell but they were just expected.

I thought from a goalie perspective Mama did well. I wouldn’t be massively upset at the goals conceded and he made some really good saves.

Sorry for any outbursts yesterday but I am a bit tired of comedy names clogging this forum up to offer different and contradictory opinions at anyone time.

PSG weren’t as good as last season, though they were probably playing in second gear, which makes two teams. However this PSG can step up at this moment I can’t see us doing the same. Anyhow it should give anyone higher up a good stat point to measure by. This team won’t show the quality of the home game last season.

Gomez did some good inventions, Kerkez was about a bit and Mama saved a few. The rest were terrible and Maca and Grav are seriously starting to grate.

Well, we did talk about that, but I don’t think it really explains why players don’t seem to want to take an easy pass to team mate?

Slot after PSG 2, Liverpool 0:.

“For the period of the season we’re in, we are in survival mode…I think in the last part of the game it was more about surviving than thinking we could score.”

Versus

Klopp before the Liverpool-Barca semifinal after going down 3-0 in the first leg and going into the second leg without Salah or Firmino:

“I don’t think it’s possible but because it’s you I think we have a chance.”

Believers back into doubters.

As I’ve said, I don’t disagree with the tactical approach, but I think the way Slot even discusses it is concerning and it undermining the confidence of some of the players in their ability.

Sure, I think they all were trying too hard to break the press by dribbling like clowns, Gravenberch was horrendous. All they did was get tackled, intercepted or a backward pass which put even more pressure on us.
It’s funny only Konaté managed any decent dribbles and Wirtz had a few good attempts. Finding the quick easy pass is the way out but we just refused to make them. Then again the support was pretty bad, our defense, and there were 7 of them just refuse to push out.

What do you think the reason is Arne sgs?

He wasn’t the worst offender. There was a moment in the second half when I really did lose it.

Szoboszlai picked up the ball in our right back position and ahead of him Frimpong starts bombing down the flank. It’s a relatively simple through ball to put out fastest player in a foot race with their left back.

Szoboszlai clearly thought about it, then decided against it, and instead played a pass inside to Gravenberch who was immediately under pressure from three PSG players and lost the ball, leading to a dangerous situation.

Dom has been decent this year, but he has been doing this all fucking season. Refusing forward passes when they are more than just on, slowing everything down and killing any attacking momentum.

It might be Slot telling him to do that, but he looks as confused as I do.

Im exactly like you (non-plussed), even a bit disappointed for PSG that they didnt score more because they deserved it.

To do this in this must-win match is tone-deaf as fuck…

We’ll probably lose anyway, but isn’t the idea that the atmospheres the fans create have a massive impact on the games exactly the argument that the protest groups are trying to make?

I’d never want us beaten, its just as I expected it and it happened with the same ponderous dull football that is accustomed to and I don’t see how the club changes this? The sad thing is we’ve got worse as the season has gone on.

I know earlier in the season wasn’t great but we aren’t even creating anymore.

I already answered. But fuck me, your reply is too funny :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: stop, I can’t breathe :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: please stop :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: I’m dying.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: Oh my god, you are so amazing.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: My sides have split from your brilliant joke.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Likewise the players help motivate the fans who make the atmosphere its catch 22

Tone-deaf for who?

They’re the ones paying, not you. The people this will affect are having their say.
