Great effort. Lot of spirit and commitment. Some sloppy passes in midfield in the first half but I thought we took control without much fuss after the equaliser.

The only thing that didn’t change was Atkinson. Southampton’s rare foray into our half began with a blatent foul on Jota, and ended, after a good Redmond run, with a nick off Milner which helped the shot to elude Ali.
The lesser spotted Minamino with the equaliser, a composed rocket after setting himself up from a Jota control and pass.
Then the winner from a corner when lady luck finally came out way.
The only downside was the injury to Gomez just before the half. Hope he’s ok.

Curtis and Harvey have got big futures ahead of them. Get Tchouameni in aswell as Carvalho and we’re gonna have the midfield sorted for the next ten years.

If Villa try hold on for a point they will get beat. In recent years most teams whi have succces against City have a go throw into mix Diaz is crocked along with Stones/Walker thats best way to go.

Martin Atkinson is either an idiot or has an agenda . Their goal is a foul the Origi one at 84 min was never a foul . we won and its great that we still have something to play for next Sunday although it is very very tall order. credit to Klopp and all the players today ,he did the right thing and rested players and those who came in played well .

Perfect smash and grab for their opening goal. Was their only shot for a long time.
They played to frustrate from the first minute to the end. Great effort from a much changed lineup to come back from a goal behind.
