Whatever happens, we have done phenomenally well to get back to where we are now.
2 league games on the bounce we have had to come from behind from goals that shouldn’t have stood.
Lets hope the officiating at the weekend is incontrovertible

Atkinson never refers to VAR anyhow. You kind of feel it’s beneath him. It was even commented once that a young ref doing VAR wouldn’t have the statue of Atkinson to be able to refer him to the screen.

He rarely gets a top game though. The three that I have serious questions over are Atwell, Kavanagh and Tierney. There is some serious shit in the pattern of decision making from those three.
Atkinson, Moss and Taylor just look a bit shit rather than corrupt. We get bad decisions off them, but I’ve seen them make errors against our opponents.
I’ve never minded Mike Dean. He looks like he’s having a lovely time, and seems to think the whole thing is some kind of performance theatre.

Yeah forgot to mention him, another clear-as-day cheat. The fact he hasn’t reffed us in the PL since VVD got crocked by T-Rex is telling as it was 20 months ago.

He can’t go full fume, as we still might yet win the lot, and that has to be the focus.
But some sort of messaging needs to confront the shit officialdom we consistently suffer from.
As for Villa v City, Aston Villa play on Thursday don’t they? And City will rest all week.
My fear is the City machine will click into gear quickly, and they will have the game won well before half time. They are known to be fast starters, so hopefully Villa come at them with everything they’ve got and give them a real scare.
I just want them to fight hard, and hopefully win or draw, or at least keep us hoping right down to the final whistle.
