Really surprised Elliot did not get time. There may be a reason we do not know - sick? The one thing you always get from him is 100% energy and graft. He cares. He might drag others along.
Jones always seems lazy to me.
Ever since Jones said - I’m happy now Slots manager as the way he plays suits my style better - he takes even more touches. He had a purple patch where he was giving the ball quicker but over the last few weeks its too many touches again and too slow.
Was thinking last night - Chiesa - what’s the deal with him? He still cant be unfit as he has done nothing but train since August. We were awful last night - why didn’t he didn’t he get on for Salah who had an off night? Same with Harvey. Give Danns a run out upfront or put him on for Jota. Nunez did OK but hes been OK for ages we need better than OK we need goals from a £60-80m front man.
Might be cos we have Accrington Sat but I was surprised the team had the likes of Grav, Mac and Virg (might be cos we only have 2 fit CBs?) in it.
Slot never seems to go what we would deem weaker and Im worried we will burn out as there are a lot of games coming up.
There was no need for a lots of 1st teamers to play last night (especially how weak Spurs were) or play Sat. Give the fringe players and youth the next 2 games. I know its nice winning a cup but this one really is at the bottom of the priority list considering how we are doing in the 2 most important ones.
We’re down to 2 CBs for the umpteenth time and Mac and Grav look goosed.
Our lack of summer activity is starting to show and we aren’t really linked with anyone in Jan. This squad has a history of injuries and the only summer signing Chiesa has seen about 40 mins all season. There has to be more than he isn’t fit.
If we play like that v Forest we will get a hiding. Just hope we haven’t hit a mini slump at the wrong time.

We still have to play the second leg, and if we win its one additional game in the season. You’d swear we have to play another half dozen games and we should almost throw this because its unimportant?
Atwell screwed us over (again) and despite a less than impressive performance we were cheated once again at Spurs.

I fully expect a win at Anfield then we will have to endure the trauma of an extra game, a Wembley final. There are supporters of other clubs who would give their life blood for that, but we decide its too much to endure.
On top of the non second yellow, Spurs got away with one when Curtis was fouled in the penalty area at the end of the match. But saying that puts me in a small group, maybe a very small group that thinks we were done out of a result last night.
Lot of panic about the upcoming Forest match, post Accrington. Might be better to throw Saturdays game as we don’t want another fucking cup getting in the way of our league campaign.
We are in a bit of a blip.
With one loss and a couple of draws, everyone beats West Ham anyway. Champions play through and get it right. We just might do the same.

Disappointing performance from us I thought. I really dont want to go down the Atwell screwed us route when we were pretty poor ourselves.
Spurs had the better chances which is really disappointing. I was hoping for a clean sheet here, being very happy with a goaless draw.
Not to be. Some work for Slot and co. to sort out a few of the lads with a dip in form.

On the Curtis one, Virg immediately prior had fouled their player, so for me they cancelled each other out.
But how the ref doesn’t give a 2nd yellow is beyond, even my Man U supporting mate who is blinkered agreed it should have been a 2nd yellow, although he thought the 1st one, wasn’t.
piss off mate im not moaning im just saying the fringe players and some kids shouldve started. This comp is the least important and I dont want burn out with lots of games coming up.

We seem to have forgotten how to keep clean sheets. Last night we conceded when the fringe players went off (bar Tsmikias but he was literally off! )which was worrying
Yeah, there’s been a definite drop off in our defensive resilience. I cant say whether its us struggling a bit or whether other teams have figured us out a bit.

The Carabao Cup is the fourth competition in rank of importance.
But this is a semi final, in Slots first season and an opportunity to win a trophy.
Should we have thrown the cup in an earlier round? Now that we are on the cusp of a Wembley final there is no sense in just giving up.

To be fair there was a few insults thrown last night, not just by @RER though he was suspended.
There is generally a looser style of moderation than we had on on TIA, thankfully. We are all adults and should be able to sort stuff out.
I feel a bit for @RER. He is a good poster and I hope he comes back post suspension.

We were fairly shite at times last night, passing was a bit wayward from everyone and continued throughout the game.
A draw would have been a fair representation of how both team performed.
Unfair on us that Tsimikas was off while the lad who fouled him scored from a position he may have been in to help stop the goal.
Only half time in this tie and see no reason to think Spurs can see this through at Anfield.
