Hopefully not our centre backs!
Don’t knock it 'til you’ve tried it!!!
Soooo…Spuds are DEF a one man team now. Oh the humanity
Doesn’t really stand up any scrutiny if we are honest.
Like Klopp said after the game, that was Liverpool, that was us. Not at our best but Liverpool nonetheless and not that lifeless hypnotised group of the last weeks.
Henderson in his 2nd start in the back is actually starting to grow as a CB. Flawless defensively and opened up their defence for the first. Is there something that he can’t do?
Wijnaldum and Thiago’s switch paid handsome dividents. Wijnaldum was a rock. Shielded the defence and just wouldn’t lose possession. Thiago playing in a more advanced position helped him influence the game more. He is still far from his best but the quality that he brings is undeniable. Milner put in another fantastic effort. He did it all and then some. The front 3 looked sharp and confident. They wreaked havoc and with better luck all 3 would have scored a goal. Firmino once again with a decisive goal against Tottenham. He probably wishes he could play them every week.
Perhaps the most pleasing aspect though was watching TAA being like himself again while on the sidelines Klopp finally celebrated goals and smiled. Long may it continue.
The downside of course is Matip’s injury. At this point it feels like it’s impossible to play a game without suffering one injury at the back. If it’s indeed serious, it might move the needle enough for FSG to sanction the transfer of another defender. I don’t see it happening though and honestly the prospect of playing the rest of the season with a combination of Henderson, Fabinho, Williams and Phillips ensures that we’ll end up with nothing to show for at the end of the season.
The fact that there is doubt and mistrust with these referees, when there should be none, is evidence alone
If ever a head was not suited to have a bandage wrapped around it…
It was Thiago’s last night…!
Not sure why, but a smile appeared every time I looked at it
There lies the problem with this new ruling VAR will have a fields day with this in deciding what is deliberate handball and what isn’t nobody will be able to argue about it even if there is a visible hand movement towards the ball unless Moss could read Bobby’s mind while being restrained by Dier is baffling. The score should have been 4:2 as son’s goal was not offside either.
Raheem Sterling?
I cant believe you attributing intelligence to Moss the only time he uses his brain is to decide how many pies he should consume?
So why did he rule it out? All refs are bent after all?
It was borderline so he had casting vote…
Like I said, he had 85mins in front of him to determine other decisions that would obviously occur and have an impact on the overall result.
If a written document was taken into court it could be used as evidence of guilt or innocence.
Without written documentation, as in the displays by the incompetent or corrupt officials, other aspects come into play… Like eye witness accounts for example… pictures, videos etc.
The more eye witness accounts that are presented that sing a similar tune, then obviously the truth will lay close by it… The more pictures that are presented to challenge laws/rules have been broken, then again, the truth will lay close by it… If videos, with numerous angles are clearly shown to break these same law/rules then the truth of the matter will once again, lay close by…!
As for definition between incompetent and corrupt it remains simple…
An incompetent referee will constantly get the exact same decision wrong time and time again…
A corrupt referee will give a decision for one team a certain way, and then proceed to give a diametrically opposing / opposite decision to a different team either in the same game, or across different timeline or schedule of games.
So while there will never be an admission of corruption via the written word (Mark Clattenburg Comments Aside) all that we, as fans, and any fair minded judge in the land is left to ponder, is the eye witness accounts, the photographic evidence, and real time video coverage.
Based upon that and the evidence readily available… then yes, there is corruption amongst the referees against LFC.
Would be interesting to hear why you think there is not bias shown against us…!
Let my deputy take the credit for seeing us through this one. I bottled it and just followed his shouts of delight and referee abuse from the safety of a secluded retreat.
Think this might be the way forward until March…
Even though we have been on a poor run I was confident that we’d win. I kept my thoughts to myself, and simply waited for 3 beautiful points, and I was rewarded! The gloom has lifted and I can smile again.
Poor Joel, he is made of glass! Great player plagued by injuries, we do need to get a CB, surely?
Nat did really well, and should be ahead of Rhys, so please Jurgen keep him in the side. I thought his booking was soft. But the ref was poor with many of his decisions.
After Mane missed that chance and then Spurs scoring, I simply shook my head and lit my pipe. VAR then correctly ruled the goal out. I knew at this point we would win!
Thiago likes to test the referee! Another booking! But I love the guy! Beautiful range of passing and game intelligence.
Milly is my MOTM. What a great performance. Milly is a machine!!! A beautiful machine!!!
Gini put in another solid performance. Hope he stays!
TAA back to his acceptable levels and nice to see him score, and get an assist.
Anyway ladies and gentlemen, I am off to watch the highlights - again!!!
On the ref, not exactly the same incidents, but the same ref and VAR refused to consider the foul on Origi in the build up to a Man Utd goal versus us last season.
It really is a case of same incident, different decision depending the team involved.
Moss probably had no choice but to disallow the Spurs goal, as if he didn’t the bias would have had irrefutable evidence.
To be honest as soon as he drew the line it was obviously off side. No way of manipulating that.
The Dier situation still baffles though
A bit of banter with a few arsenal fans at work today, spurs are starting to bottle it already.
You sound like a bleeding referee, baffle em with bullshit
I also though for the 2nd Son chance was also offside? but may have got it mixed up with another one which was chalked up as a shot on target by them
