Post Match: Spurs v Liverpool (EPL 28/1/21 8pm)

Agree on this part, agree to disagree on the disallowed goal.
More of the same today

No I’m not, and stop being deliberately provocative.

I’ve gone on all season about bias.

I just think you have to be careful about seeing bias everywhere. You immediately lose the moral high ground if you can’t accept when a referee might have been decent and a decision that goes against us was the right one.

In my view, if you are going to kick off that Bobby should have been allowed to clearly and deliberately handle the ball in the build up to the goal, you have no right to kick off next time an opposition player does that. If you think that it was right that Son’s goal was ruled off, you can forget about complaining next time we have to deal with a similar situation.

The thing that gets highlighted each and every week with the officials, is they are trying to judge the game on rulings that clearly contradict each other in certain situations…!
Suppose, just suppose, Atkinson did wave play on after he saw the ball hit Bobby’s arm… AND NOT, for the bear hug or handball by Dier… then the ‘play on’ rule clearly contradicts allowing a goal if an arm was involved in the build-up.!
Similar ball to hand episodes all over the pitch are waved to play on… but my point being, what is the point of that ruling if a goal occurs 15-30seconds later from the same piece of play.! It is a contradiction to the written laws, and this is my main concern, which then allows referees (and VAR) to become judge, jury and executioner against a ruling that has two interpretations!
Never been one to cry wolf ever, but I firmly believe there is a bias by referees, more by some than others, more in differing games and opponents than others, against LFC.
But Hey Ho… 3 points were all that mattered on the night, and that is what the boys achieved, against the 12 men of Spurs + Roly Poly Moss :0)

And you regularly criticise me for discussing things and having opinions on what correlates with my concept of reality.

You’ve just admitted that your opinion is guided by your blind allegiance to our club. I’ll remember that one

I am sure you will.

Love the way you isolate part of a response to suit your agenda.

I’ll remember that one.

As long as we win when there’s a seemingly dodgy decision then i couldn’t give a fuck,we beat the cunts that are spurs so i’m still very happy with this result.

I said it was handball. Gobsmacked the foul was given to Spurs. Yellow to Dier for trying to stop a counterattack.
I also mentioned quite a few dodgy ref decisions the worst being the Mo flagged offside when he was clearly on.

Wonderful win! Wasn’t feeling it in the first half, but the lads really sharpened up thereafter. Getting out of London with 6 points was massive!
