Maybe not covid in itself, but the thought about getting it. Several of their team-mates have it as we speak, and it must weigh on their minds.
Lampard said it and so we are running with it.
The high line, I suspect, is one of those where it looks absolutely appalling when it goes wrong, but when calmer heads at the club - professional ones paid to shut out the hysteria of fans and pundits - do the numbers and the analysis on it, the conclusion is that it gives far more to our game than takes away.
Possibly right.
Takes 5 days to surface so you would assume we may know. If no other team gets it over this break I’d be frankly shocked.
Yes mate… He is there… But haven’t seen him play… We had Kelleher in the sub bench today… Might well start him… Adrian was so bad tofay… We all know his passing is poor and I wasn’t sure why he tried to be cute… Just clear it…
in all honesty im not even mad… we were bound to have one of these days. we have been laughing at our rivals the last few seasons. so take this one on the chin and move the fuck on…
I’m quite worried about the amount of injuries Ali collects. He gets a lot of knocks for a keeper.
It’s OK lads. I understand that Lampard views this game as 100% a win for our lads. If Villa hadn’t scored all the goals that they did, we win that game. Nothing to worry about.
Fucking bang on.
Next.
I know this is a complete anomaly of a result, but I’ve never seen us play so poorly and I’ve lived through a Woy Hodgson era. Reigning champions vs almost relegated side. Conceding 18 shots/chances with 70% possession. 7 goals, and lucky it wasn’t 10. Deflected goals or not, put some pressure on the ball FFS!
Absolutely baffled. You can’t even say “just one of those days”. This doesn’t happen. It’s literally a historic result. Record breaking. Once a century. Tell me I’m exaggerating. I don’t think I am.
I gotta figure there is something to this.
Did he not say that Ox his injury was similar to Henderson’s, Ox is nowhere to be seen. I have a feeling that Becker is out for at least 2 months.
The bitters will be hoping Adrian is in goal in two weeks.
He’s even worse than Karius in my opinion.
Just be thankful we’ll all be dead the next time it happens, then.
Hope Everton enjoy their evening. I wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of the backlash from this performance.
Valid points. He was at fault for two of the goals in the first half, obviously not helped by Adrain and the invisible man in the middle of the park. Two of the second half goals were deflected as you pointed out and there is not much any body can do about them unless you prevent the shot in the first place. He looked shaken to me, and should have been helped or hooked. Moving Fab back at least removes Gomez before any remaining confidence he as goes down the pan but playing a high line just presented another simple attacking route for Villa which they exploited at will.
Klopp got his ass handed to him tactically in that game. His moves to counter the villa threat if anything played more into their hands.
Unfortunately, this loss is coming to late to change something.
I think it’s very difficult to add 2 more players to our squad in this moment.
It’s more than clear that we need a 2nd gk. Sell Adrian and add another one, or at least give a chance to Pituliga or Kelleher.
A defender is again a must, because both Gomez and matip ar injury prone and with this covid crisis… Never knows what will happen.
Even if we transfer Jota, honestly I think we need a clinical striker to put pressure on Roberto Firmino. I love him, but… It’s not in his best form. And Origi is the same. Thanks for what you did, but it’s time to move on.
Let’s strength our team now to not become fc Barcelona.
I don’t want to imagine how Liverpool will look without Mane on a long term.
Also, Keita… It’s hist 3dx season here, but… I don’t consider him key player and also injury prone. But here, probably Thiago will make it.
Let’s keep faith in our management team, I’m more than sure that they also see those things.
YNWA
A tactical mastershambles. Some of the blame that Adrian is taking, so many players in front of him were doing absolutely nothing to stop this, and turning their backs on shots might as well not have been there. Individual performances aside, the worst part was not seemingly being able to change anything to stop it getting more and more embarrassing. Couple of players on that park that I wouldnt be bothered if they found themselves a transfer tomorrow.
Exactly. The media will bang on about this while ignoring the past two years. Having said that, it really went wrong today. And no one tried to stem the tide by adjusting the play. That’s what makes it even more galling.
Take the goal where Trent tries to do a Lovren and commits himself to clearing the ball, rather than running back with he player and making things difficult.
By the way, Lovren in this game may actually have shone…
