I was very tense and apprehensive in the first half but in the second half we made them look like the bottom team of the league that they are. The old guard came up trumps tonight and Frimpong was good but he needs to cut out the extra touches and pass the ball quicker Curtis could have had a second goal.

It falls on the weekend that immediately follows the March international break, and before a potential Champions League quarter-final away from home on the midweek of April 7/8.
Fixture congestion incoming haha - just checked and Wirtz, Ekitike and Konate could play 2 international matches during that break period. Also our South American players have pretty big games coming up too arghhh … hope there’s a press conference before the end of the month stating that loads of our players have a little knock/niggle and need more rest

The big difference tonight is Robbo linked up with the left winger perfectly unlike the Kerkez/Gakpo relationship but I don’t understand how Slot and his staff have not made them work together.

Yeah suppose it does help the players that would need to get back to match fitness.
I do hope that Becker and Virgil pull sickies though, would be messed up if they play in the friendlies, they’re first choice at the World Cup already

More than anything else, I’m pissed off that it took a dismal showing and 3 points down the drain to play with some ambition and urgency.
Robertson is a legend and it’s gone under the radar that his contract is up. He still has it, we shouldn’t be so ready to let him walk.
