Put your glasses on after the game, and watch the replays. VVD’s knee clearly hit Mitrovic’s. There is no room for any diverging opinions, it’s a steel-hard fact that there is a contact, and that a penalty will be given in such a situation.

You can argue that the games too soft, shouldn’t be a pen in principle etc. But that’s going to be given in every game in the PL.

The problem is that contact in itself is not a penalty.
Anywhere else on the pitch and that would have been waved away by the ref. This is 1 area where VAR needs to actually be used better to ensure that the b/s spin that contact inside the box is an automatic penalty
