The positions he’s taking up are really interesting. It’s not unusual for Salah and Mane to be higher up than he is, but we’ve also routinely seen both Robbo and Hendo ahead of him. Not in itself unusual to see a forward dropping off, but it is to then see the same player get both his goals from 6 yard box tap ins.

Tbh I’d forgotten pretty much the entire match against Porto apart from thiagos goal. More of a general feel for the season, for every great performance there’s an equally frustrating one.

Fortunately Alison cleaned up the sloppy and the goals have piled up going forward.
The roll over with his right instead of hitting it was sexy as hell. It’s the sort of thing lots of players do, but very few do in a way that’s actually productive. He created extra room for his shot and positioned the ball exactly where it needed to be to just thwack it in stride.
